So, saying the N-word to a team full of black players over and over because you are pissy about a kid not paying attention is acceptable to you now? Reading it "once" could be a grey area- saying it 4 times like players claim is not a mistake and is a bad look. So much for being a "great recruiter". Mama will never look at him the same way after that. It's just the way it is. It doesn't make him "a racist" necessarily, but, it does compromise his ability to lead black players and recruit black players.
Also: He didn't get fired; he resigned. That's on him.

This is so stupid. I could understand if he actually called one of his players that name, but reciting a conversation off a tablet in an attempt to correct bad behavior and getting publicly shamed and losing your career is beyond ridiculous. There is only one victim here and it’s the coach. If this word is as dangerous as we’re making it out to be, then kill it. Make it taboo for everyone. The hard R version and the hard A one too. It’s time to move past this shite because it’s holding our society hostage.

Rumor now is Gundy read off a players laptop which happened to be a rap song the player was writing. And had the word in it a few times.
Coach V found out later. And we are where we are now with everything that has been reported so far.
If the above is true, coach Vs statement while accurate kept out many details. Why would he do that?

Demarco Murray a fellow coach and past player coached by gundy released a statement that backed up what Venables is saying. That’s case closed, it sucks but it is what it is. Now some other program will get a top notch recruiter and loyal coach in 2024.
