Wow according to this thread the SEC is going to be up this year.

I think Tevin Mitchel is going to be legit now that he has experience as a sophomore. We also need Chris Smith and Austin Flynn/Trey Flowers to break out at DE...they have potential

If Flowers and Flynn are as good as advertised then we will be dominant on the Dline this year. I'm not sold on that yet though. But it's tough to tell anything about that from spring ball. Won't really know until bama. I wish we would play our BCS non con game early in the season.

Also our CB play is going to be much improved. Did anyone else notice that we actually turned to look for the ball when it was in the air during the spring game?

I would say perhaps CB Victor Hampton, and DT Kelcy Quarles: Quarles was in Clowney's shadow a bit last season, but the (then) true freshman ended up starting the final 6 games of the season for us. IMO he's a future All-SEC DL in the making...
And I know it will sound funny, but IMO Clowney will also have a "break-out" season. By this I feel he will step up what is already a stellar level of production for us, and be a leader in the conference in both TFL and sacks. IMO he may upstage what Ingram did for us last season in those categories...
Pretty much everyone else on our D is well established: I have good feelings about RS-Fr. LB Cedric Cooper, but he's right in the middle of a 2-LB two-deep consisting of 4 seniors with a ton of playing experience, so he'll have a battle on his hands finding playing time. Brison Williams will be our newcomer at Spur, but I'm not expecting him to do anything beyond solid his 1st season...

For Auburn, I anticipate greatly improved performance out of the DE's and DT's.
So, to just pick one, I'll go with Gabe Wright.

He is not considered a "break out" player but Jenkins is a bad arse.
Jarvis Jones might be a Thug POS, but he is more badder asser.

IMO for LSU it's The Freak
IMO Freak is going to be the key for the defense this season. I really hope he is the breakout player.

You will need a lot more than Otha to have a defense that is worth a shite
Didn't Petrino get him a hooker or something when he was there?

Someone will step this year for the Gators. A top 10 defense did not have one first team all SEC member.
My guess is Marcus Roberson or Matt Elam.

State is going to be very good defensively
DE- Denico Autry
DT- Josh Boyd (moving over to take Fletcher Cox's spot)
LB- Deonte Skinner
Secondary- Nickoe Whitley and Darius Slay

^This. I also like Therezie to have a big year. While he may be in the 5'10"-5'11" range, he packs a punch and plays a lot bigger. I hope it's him and Davis starting at the corners with T. Bell coming off the bench to give us depth.
If our secondary play isn't significantly better this year, I'll be very disappointed.
