Guess the delay makes sense, still I'll believe it when I see it.

Fair enough but I'm not blowing smoke up your arse when I say he's been gone since UGA. He didn't have a fan left at that point and no way to recapture us because the season effectively ended for us that day. He didn't enter the season on the hottest seat as many media claimed (most fans were in skeptical but wait and see mode) but the offensive performances against GT, UF, and UMASS put him there quickly. It was sealed when he couldn't score a single point at home against UGA in a 100+ year bad loss.

Beyond that, it was evident early that the team had the same lack of discipline this season that they started with in 2016. I know you've not been privy to all of it and don't expect you to know my preaching on this but I've said countless times that something happened between 2015 and 2016 that fundamentally changed things. CBJ's first three teams played disciplined, extremely physical balls to the wall football (even his first team which was a 5-7 team did that) but starting with the first snaps in 2016 we saw one soft-arse, completely undisciplined team.

A lot of the skeptical but wait and see fans were hoping that we'd at least see a return to the 2015 and before type teams we'd seen and when that didn't happen the first few nails in the coffin that were already halfway hammered in fell.

Per Jimmy Hyams, Butch fired. Will not finish the season. Robert Gillespie will take over as interim

Does UT happen to have an assistant coach that's from Tennessee and that had a disastrous head coaching performance at another school? I hear those kind of hires are popular these days.

It's like y'all are allergic to NOT making those fired coaches' buyout payments. Didn't they just finish with Fat Phil's and Dooley's, earlier in the year?

LWS has said it and 30 has said it. IMO, that means it's happened.
