Let's be honest. Mac Jones will do alright as a rookie. I think he'll probably do as well as Cam would've done. But Mac Jones in year 2 and beyond might be one of the better QBs in the NFL. He'll have a long NFL career as a starting QB. Plus, his football IQ and commitment to studying film is exactly what Bill Belichick wants.

Can't wait for the season to start. I'll be checking in every week or until Mac is sidelined.

I love that Bama is so ingrained in that thick skull of yours that you'd spend your time "checking in every week" on an Alabama QB in the NFL.

Keep an eye on how many sacks Mac takes. AU figured it out in 2019 and the NFL will be all over it. He took 5 sacks in the pre-season with limited playing time and against mainly backup players. It will be fun to watch.

It's simple really. I love Cam Newton, he's the most amazing college player I've ever seen and basically single handedly won my team a national championship. At Carolina he was a much better QB than any of the bitter hearts on the rant would ever dare to admit, won an MVP and led his team to the Super Bowl.

However, all those years of trucking people finally caught up to him. Ever since his injury a couple of years ago he has been terrible and there's no way around it. It's actually pretty surprising to me it took this long for him to be finished, it's been clear since early last season his arm was shot.

If more of the quality AU posters would call out this clown like you have then maybe he's cease and desist?

Honestly IP used to be a decent poster that could carry on a good conversation. Once Raburn went MIA, Irons felt he had to step up the idiotic trash posting.

But a great recruiting opportunity at the quarterback position for Alabama

Finally, Alabama will be able to bring in some top recruits.

Truth is the Cult attacks in masses when you challenge anything related to Bama. This is not trash talking it starts as true opinions and then the Cult shifts the conversation. I do not believe Mac is anywhere ready for the NFL, I do not care where he played CF. I also think BB is trying hard to show the NFL his success was due to HIS SYSTEM and not Brady. Combine those two and you will see NE struggle. I saw it last year with Cam, now they took the running element out of the game. I don't hate Mac, but it will be fun to watch the Cult and BB melt.

I think more people will remember him not diving on that ball. With a championship on the line.

No one invested more in free agency than NE. Last year they had no weapons on offense and a bunch of their defensive players opted out. This year they are going to have two legit TEs and an incredible defense along with a healthy Damien Harris. They're going to be running the ball a ton and trying to win with defense and special teams. It will be nothing like last year at all.
