Hopefully he at least finishes the semester for them. Would be shitty if they have to take the APR hit if he just ups and leaves.

What reason do you have to say that? From the outside looking in, seems unlikely unless this injury is severe enough to seriously affect his draft stock.

Why? He's almost certainly going to go as a Top 5 pick unless it's a career ending injury. He'd be stupid to come back as a guaranteed lottery pick.

If you take him at his word he wants to do something at the college level. His brother plays here.

I'll defer on the draft situation but it would seem pretty risky to me for a team to take him coming off back surgery with zero proof that he's healthy enough to play in games.

Zero proof? He'd be subject to a full physical and a bunch of private workouts. All due respect but this seems like wishful thinking unless there is reason to think this injury is really bad.
