He'll likely go to the Combine and do some one on one workouts before they'd make that kind of decision. This happening this early is the best thing for his potential prospects to not fade. Especially if he recovers well.

You also have to consider the potential for the NBA to get rid of the one and done in the next year or so. If they look like they're going to do anything more than 2 years, then players will likely go to avoid getting locked into that.

Then you also have to consider will he look at this as his shelf life has been shortened? Why waste that in college when your NBA window isn't that big to begin with?

Unless it has a significant physical effect and drops him down past the lottery, I just don't see any way he stays.

No way the kid comes back unless he grades poorly at the combine due to injury.

Just goes to show how stupid it was hiring a coach to get a player. Mizzou deserved to be laughed at.

Might as well close Mizzou now.

We didn't hire Zo to get MPJ.

For fricks sake. He's a good coach, great recruiter. We'll be more than fine.

As for MPJ coming back, we shall see. Like I said, I won't be surprised if he does or doesn't.

If he goes, I wish him well. Hopefully he can regain full health.

Hope he is ready to play in NBA.

I guess Mizzou heads back to the cellar.

If you take him at his word he wants to do something at the college level. His brother plays here. I'll defer on the draft situation but it would seem pretty risky to me for a team to take him coming off back surgery with zero proof that he's healthy enough to play in games.

That’s the homer in you wanting to believe all of this. I don’t blame you though because I’d probably be saying the same things if it was us in this position.

Porter isn't your typical money chasing guy.

Who even knows if he makes a full recovery from this, back injuries can ruin careers.

You guys don't have any insight on this situation whatsoever.

What prior relationship did Zo have with MPJ? The answer is none.

MPJ was coming here regardless as long as he didn't dislike the new hire. It could have been Zo or 1 of 50 other coaches.

We didn't hire Zo to get MPJ.

No we didn't? What kind of connection did Cuonzo have to the Porters when he was hired?

I get trolling, but you all are typing some false shite on this thread.

I love how they think they know more about how this went down than we do.

And now they have to endure a Gonzo Martin offense?

Ouch.

Believe what?

You actually think you know more about that recruitment than I do?

Come on...
