There is zero accusation that anyone connected to Sexton was offered a dime. Baker is gone not because he committed any sort of NCAA violation, but because it's unacceptable from the university's standpoint for a guy in that position to be giving players critical advice based on his own personal gain.

Are you trolling or this dumb? He wasnt fired because it was "unacceptable from the university standpoint", he was fired because as a public official he took a bribe of 25k.

We know that much at the very least

An associate AD is above an assistant coach. Bama fan you have some logic in that he has not been chargered YET, but this involved a recruit and that provides an advantage for Alabama.

I give you an A for effort so far.

This was the logic on the board from your brethren yesterday, but actually far worse

Today will be a day of repenting, I am sure

Misery loves company, I guess, so they’re really hoping there’s more to this than there is.

Sorry, Ole Miss, the NCAA dickslapped you. We’ve been there before, too, so I know your pain, but you’re goig through this shite alone.

Doesn't really change anything. That is what Chuck Person thought he was doing, too.

He had direct contact with players and told them these people would take care of them while in school and playing. It isn't nearly the same.

Plus this guy wasn't hire by Avery and wasn't a coach. What he did was stupid, but nothing like what Persons did.

Every Bama fan right now is praying this FBI investigation into the AD doesn't come across any football related documents. That would be freaking incredible.

FWIH, this WHOOOOOLE investigation started as an investigation into college football recruiting (particularly the SEC).

It was literally the exact same thing, except Person allegedly spent a little of his money on momma and dem. It's hilarious that bama fans are trying really hard to differentiate the two in some drastic way.

Have fun with your football team getting trashed this weekend. You can find solace from the fact that it'll distract you from the impending hammer the NCAA will give Ole Miss soon.

Yea, it was exactly the same thing. We just possibly got lucky enough that he never finished the job or actually talked to the players parents, though we don't know that for sure either.

Either way, it's not good.
