Do you think it matters? The SEC looks petty and inconsistent. LSU isn't taking national bullets, just roman candle flares from the collective trailers of the SEC neighboring fanbases

LSU never hinted at going against SEC rules. Even stated that’s why they didn’t roster the players.

This is about Sankey getting embarrassed and 4 other schools spurned by Kiffin. So what are they gonna do? They’ve all threatened. They have the votes right? Nothing has changed since they filed. Do it or you are the cowards everyone knows you are.

I mean, I told you all Will Wade would face sanctions and be fired by LSU, yet you all made some dumbass commentary that he wouldn’t be. All LSU did was push back the timeline.

I could see LSU play nice enough to push back the timeline again here, but I believe those those scenarios are highly likely.

LSU chose the correct business path. Fighting to add these two would have been an incredibly stupid hill to die upon!

There was no fighting. It was the only path to take. Bama on the other hand did add there pro last year.

Leaving the spots open was a very specific hint, I don't see how you could even say this.

you've said right here LSU will face serious sanctions and kiffin will be gone within the year. Are you not ready to be married to that claim?

That should be a wake up call for LSU. It won’t be.

Frankly, it should be a wakeup call for every SEC program.

LSU did nothing but aggressively try to build the best football program it could within the rules as they stand. Chambliss is starting at Ole Miss despite being ruled ineligible by the NCAA, due to a court order ruling he be allowed to play. Pavia was allowed to play at Vanderbilt last year, same situation.
That's the precedent LSU followed- if a court rules a player eligible, he's been allowed without pushback.

LSU hired Kiffin because they felt he was the best option available. They did so when they did, because it quickly became a bidding contest between LSU and Florida, and LSU could not afford to risk losing out by waiting for a more "polite" timeframe. They also wanted the new coach to be fully involved in recruiting (both high school and portal), which based on the current timeframes, was tough on Ole Miss.
Ole Miss had every opportunity to retain him, simply could not match what LSU offered. That's not a crime, it's simply reality. It stings Ole Miss, probably the same that it stung Texas A&M that Texas hired their baseball coach away.

Kiffin's a snarky troll. So was Steve Spurrier. Jimbo talked a lot of shite both at Fla State, then at A&M.That's not grounds for expelling a conference member, it's grounds for teams to try to beat him on the field and shut him up.

There's an accusation that Kiffin encouraged the players to sue the NCAA, the SEC. Simple advice to a former player to seek out his best individual situation is not against the rules... players have been gaining eligibility in lawsuits already, and 5 for 5 makes it pretty evident these guys could pursue that. If there were a conspiracy to do so and somehow profit, THAT would be against the rules; but LSU didn't put those guys on the roster. Legally, they still have a case to do so, because if the SEC punished LSU then it would punitive to those players, in all likelihood. But LSU still didn't do it.

Kiffin said "imagine if we had pro players" at halftime. He was responding with snark to the fact LSU was up 31-3 at the half.
There was a pro coach who was asked about his offensive line's execution... he said he would be in favor of that. Similar, being snarky, not endorsing the murder of players.

You can argue that Sankey is actively hurting his conference right now. LSU has the most impressive win in football currently, unless you think Miami beating Stanford is comparable to what we did to Clemson (remember, Clemson was on the edge of the Top 25). There's a lot of attention being given to LSU's play on the field, and the upcoming matchup with Ole Miss. This lawsuit detracts from that heavily.

LSU was very short on players this year. Yes, two spots were left open. But there was also a ton of uncertainty around the two players. Ultimately the spots were filled with players that have season-ending injuries. It’s not like able bodied players could fill the spots.

LSU voted with the rest of the conference to not allow those players to play on their team.

Then they left the two roster spots open. Everyone knows what they were doing. You do too.

I don’t think pavia or Chambliss were drafted by a professional team therefore no longer amateur. Then decide to go back to college.

Because I’m seeing a pattern with the other “lawyers” on here in previous disputes of what was going on within the LSU athletic department. I believe y’all have never litigated a thing in your life.

None of these players were drafted.

Indeed. Note the “would have been” in my post indicating that there ultimately was no fighting.

what took Wade down wasn't even what you thought was going to take him down

He got fired over some bank statements that came out 2.5 years after the "damn strong offer" comments you jizzed over for years :lol;

Look at the actual findings of the NCAA. All that shite you freaked out about was never substantiated and much of it never even mentioned

You just bloviate hot takes and hope they hit. You rarely have an actual clue what you're talking about. When you made those comments, no the NCAA nor LSU had what they needed to take him down, which is why nothing happened to him over what you thought would end him like everyone told you.

But i'll ask again, what does that actually have to do with anything? Or do you need receipts of where you've been dead wrong to "appeal to your authority" on the subject or are you done with logical fallacies tonight?

No, but they were out of eligibility and denied their appeals by the NCAA, thus making them ineligible and against the rules to play. Yet, they played with no issue from the SEC.
