I don't think he'd have turned out different if he'd gone to OM. Dude just ate his way off the team.

what sucks is he never got to fully experience Tom Al-Betar's friendliness.

Brandon Hill - Processed! You are the one I expect to post on it.
You need to check the threads I start, this is the last one about Bama.

Not even close. He was told repeatedly that he wouldn't play until he got his weight to 360. He has shown no ability or desire to do so. He was frustrated by his spot on depth chart coming out of spring ball and requested release so he could go elsewhere. He was NOT told to leave. Completely his decision.

Kids don't understand that sometimes recruiting is as much about making sure your opponent can't have that player as anything else. A lot of teams with talent to burn recruit kids that don't fit their system just to keep them away from fellow SEC schools where they do fit.

It's one the nastier sides of recruiting but it happens all the time and I doubt any team can say they've never, ever, done it.

Yeah, a huge right tackle doesn't fit Bama, we were just scared what he would in the Ole Miss offense.

Are people really this stupid?

Apparently so. That idiot is still living in the no scholarship limit era.
....so we're gonna give away 1 of our 25 just so somebody else can't sign them.

Heard it from Saban himself in VIP section of Crimson Caravan in Bham. Be didn't say Hill, but he said "we've got a kid at 390 that refuses to lose the weight and has asked for release. We're trying to convince him to do what's needed, but it looks like he wants to leave"
