I thought about it, and it makes sense as a strategy.

Thing is, though, if one kid dies it's not close to worth it. It would approach criminal, and the scandal would be catastrophic for ANY coach's career.

In short: Boomer is an idiot.

Yes Boomer. I'm sure colleges are risking lung damage for an advantage in Fall.

i doubt anyone here is old enough to remember chicken pox parties but that is exactly what is going on here

I wonder if all those that attended chicken pox parties in their youth were glad they attended after they got Shingles as adults?

Boomer obviously suffered brain damage when he was blindsided by Quency Williams in Jordan-Hare, resulting in a fumble for a touchdown to ruin their 1983 season.

Boomer obviously doesn’t understand that states all have different ages of Covid spread. Alabama’s tatewide numbers are still high right now. We haven’t had finished our first wave yet.

Imagine being so stupid that you would consider a program would purposely infect 120 players and 30 staff members for the off chance that it might provide immunity at the risk of KILLING YOUR STUDENTS AND CAUSING MASSIVE LAWSUITS OR EVEN FELONY CHARGES.

Who even considers a multi million dollar program would do that? You've got to be a full fledged moron.

Literally know a young black guy who was fit (security guard 22) with no health issues who died from covid a few days ago.

Except there's no proof it creates immunity. Why does no one get that???

There's tons of people on their SECOND case of covid.

This is too perfect. I've always said gatorbait2008 is the dumbest poster on here and here he is proving it again by being dumb enough to advocate this.

How many times must I prove this guy is a massive idiot?

When I was I kid , parents would take their kids to pox parties so there children could catch mumps or measles to get it over with early because they were much less dangerous to younger people .

So this is just a yearly pox party to clear the way for football and all the players will be quarantined safely and hopefully get some herd immunity going .

I'm not well-versed on this, but didn't I see an article that said secondary positive testing was thought to be due to fragments of the virus remaining, but that it didn't necessarily mean that the patients were getting sick again, or that they could still spread it to others?

In other words, there seems to be no chronic infection or recurrence, it's perhaps just a limitation of the type of testing available?

Or have they now shown definitively that you can get the virus a second time?

Not sure this plan would work out to well for some of the 50+ year old obese coaches in the league. And there are a few of them....
