Will have to do so with 3 star players and a 2 star coach.

Schedule is relatively soft but I see 7-5. Losses to Florida, UGA, Bama, State, Mizzou.

This statement disqualifies you for mature discussion about college football. Only an idiot would think this.

ESPN's index has us slightly favored in that game. It's a true tossup game by most metrics.

I'm sorry Miss State fan. What the hell has Miss State ever done to make me think otherwise?

They have a better chance of going 3-9 than 9-3.

You mean worthless preseason "metrics"?

State will be favored to win that game at that point in the schedule. At that point, there will be actual metrics to go by.

A helluva lot more than Tennessee has done recently.

Keep living in the past, oh disqualified one.

This is blind homerism. You may turn out to be right and you may turn out to be wrong but as it stands it's a tossup game with us slightly favored. You may not like it and you may think that it will change but it's true nonetheless.

My issue with pre-season power rankings or metrics is that they tend to rely waaaay too much on returning production. A bad team that returns a high percentage of production will be ranked higher than a good team who is replacing guys. Anything pre-season is soooo wonky. The preseason stuff never really matches how the season works out.
