Does anyone think it's kind of slimy for BP to lobby for the Arkansas job before his boss is fired? Just seems wrong as far as loyalty goes.
It is sort of like having an episode of Bonanza where Little Joe stabs Hoss in the back.

Petrino always has and will be a slime ball so nothing shocking here
If I'm n Ark fan I would probably care less and Petrino is like that old warm blanket laying around to use right now.
I would caution hiring a re-tread as HC again though, re-treads so often dont work out. We all remember all the great things they did a decade+ ago but that doesnt necessarily translate to today.
Yes I'm still scarred by Bo Pelini in 2020

Louisville rehired the slime ball then fired him and it didn't take a motorcycle accident type event to justify the 14 million dollar buyout.
At least Ark knows what they're dealing with, just start a buyout fund the day you hire him back.

You don't blame a snake for eating eggs, thats just what they do. Slimy? No. Thats just BP.

The fact you every let the dirtbag back on campus let alone a job says arky is as slimy as it gets.

The rumor is he was lobbying to be the interim...far cry from lobbying for the actual HC position, as you state.

I mean, why call a RB dive with 1:20 left from inside the 10 when all you need is a FG to win?

Ok...that may make it even worse imho.

The point is he is trying to take his boss' job without his boss even losing it yet

It just feels wrong 4 games in. Pitman seems like too nice a guy but what do I know.
Too nice a guy? He has been all about himself wherever he has been. And has been a back stabber before when he was coaching under Tommy Tuberville at Auburn.

Just what I heard Arkansas fans saying about Pittman. They may not like his coaching but always had good things to say about him as a person. Like I said I could be wrong.

The dive was working until the fumble. He can’t control a ball being punched out. If the fumble doesn’t happen 2 weeks in a row, hogs may very well be undefeated right now…

I dont see it that way...He probably wants to try and salvage what may be left of the season and he knows that Williams the DC would be an absolute trainwreck if he were to take over. They supposedly had some issues in fall camp...and I can see why...The defense fricking sucks.

No, it's 100% the right thing to do.
He's actually trying to help the program.
Pittman has to go.

I would think it would be more divisive than helping a program. After all, from what I gather Sam is well thought of by the players. I don't think that can be said for BP>

Sorry, I misread your post. I thought you were talking about Petrino, not Pittman. The funniest thing about Pittman ever was when he said "I didn't know what to do" after a particularly bad loss.

No problem. I can see where that would sound crazy if I had been talking about BP.
