Based on talent, tu shouldn't have more than like 3 losses every season. The Big 12 is garbage. Herman was a disaster. Sark just has to be average and it'll seem like a massive improvement.

Dumbest statement on the board all day

It really doesn’t have anything to with Sark other than possibly making UT more competitive. My point stands though. Go on pretending that neither of your schools or fanbases care about the other while at the same time checking their every move.

Both teams would benefit from the game. It would generate interest across CFB. For either team to hold out because they think it would provide some perceived advantage to the other is laughable though.

He’s gonna take Texas recruits from the Aggies.

Fat chance. He's already losing every single head to head with A&M in this class. Expect it to continue. He'll get a few decent offensive recruiits but he will fail tremendously where it counts - the trenches

Well seeing that he’s inheriting a pretty good roster , if he plays his cards right he can get them back to relevancy as soon as this season. If he is able to get the offense rolling like he did with Bama, they’ll be top ten. The big12 is so average after Ou. It was a “win now” type of hire. Like coach O. Basically you inherit a good situation.

Nah. More like 1 or 2. Herman made it look so hard to simply have a top 15 team regularly.

Sark is inheriting good skill position talent but the trenches are straight trash-tier. It will be interesting to see how he addresses it - probably with transfers galore

Looks like aggy keeps up and is interested in something they say they are not keeping up with or interested in.

I think he’ll do just enough to not get fired by year four. Might beat Oklahoma a couple of times and get them to a NY6. He won’t meet the unrealistic expectations of that fan base though.

I say several levels above Herman but they’ll be searching soon

Austin and UT are too woke. You can’t have a winning football culture in a left-tard place like that. Sorry, but it’s true. Alright.... alright.... alright

Upgrade over Herman, but he is what his record says he is:

5-8
7-6
7-6
7-6
8-5
9-4
3-2

He went to the Nick Saban finishing school. I hope he graduated with honors. Cause all that oil money likes to pull the Longhorn wagon in a completely different direction than where most HCs want to go.

Not a Saban. Better than Herman, maybe.
At all the schools that are serious about winning a NC, if you're not Saban, you only have 5 to 7 years to produce one or at least be in the NC game.
You're basically hired to be fired. Stick some of that money back.

This narrative makes me laugh. Have you taken a look in the SEC lately? Please tell me who does nowdays?

I don't see how hiring your defensive position coaches before you've hired your DC and know what kind of scheme you're going to run is a winning formula or indicative of competency. Quality DCs want control over the hiring of their own staff and tend to shy away from jobs when they don't have that control. He's already making mistakes.

It looked to me like Ash was getting that ship turned around on defense down there after the mid-point of the season and they started exhibiting signs of improvement down the stretch.

A Saban or another Herman

There will never be another Saban.

But I think Sark will get Texas back on top of the Big 12. And if a former assistant ever does beat Saban...which is not at all a given...Sark will be the first.

You're right, but that's even more of a reason why Sark will do well, because his teams will play defense. He offered Muschamp, for crying out loud. Sark is astute enough to know that he has to put a premium on defense in terms of hires and recruiting.

Sober Sarkisian is one of the better offensive minds in college. Hard to say how he'll do running the show but he'll have that offense humming.

I think he'll be a good one
