Never said it was. But over the past 23 years this has been the best regular season game, ratings wise, on average. Espn wants this game to maximize money.

I don’t think we are better than the rest of the conference, I want to play all the schools in a 2 year period and at each school in a 4 year period. I don’t care how.

My bama/vandy grad boss and I discussed this recently. We thought it would make sense if the league had a requirement for schools to schedule OOC opponents that reach a certain quantified quality. For instance, the schools are free to schedule their own OOC schedules in advanced but within a set timeframe, and their opponents have to meet a certain threshold of quality based off the opponents last 10 year record according to the schedule quality, etc. one OOC P5 team has to reach a specific threshold, then after that a cumulative threshold has to be met for all OOC opponents together. This way we can ensure schedules are balanced and of good quality.

You are making it too difficult.

Just schedule 2 P5 opponents each year.

There is no way of knowing who returns a QB, who returns a head coach, who returns an OC/DC that many years in advance.

Everyone knows conference relativity (i.e. who bowl games match up with). Schedule p5 within that framework.

Let's add more schools to the conference.
Maybe that will make it easier to schedule every school in a 2 year period. /s

OR... hang with me here. We understand financial issues better than some broke arse schools (not mentioning any names) And realize you are going to lose home games in that scenario.

Yeah it’s just a coincidence that the bottom feeders are the only ones that understand finances. Has nothing to do with needing a cupcake game to make a bowl lmao. I get it though. Y’all are cupcakes for the big dogs in the conference so you need your little San Jose St, North Texas, etc. games

Why?
Why is this important to you?

5 years ago, were you begging your AD to play both Oklahoma and Texas every 2 years?

Why don't you tell me what other teams you want to see every 2 years so I can know who the SEC will be adding to the conference to make you happy.

This all day, and someone more difficult then wake forest. Alabama never scheduled two either, and the one year Georgia had to drop one because of realignment, “oh god”. SEC fans are morons.

You had plenty of time to offer another Power 5 school a neutral site game. All they would have to do is drop one of their directional schools and sign up.

Instead, you immediately turned to UT Martin.

Because at the end of the day this sport is about entertaining the fans. More games against better teams in different parts of the country is more entertaining than the same games over and over again.

If it was an option hell yes I would have signed up for that.

Since you asked, I always wanted to go see Chapel Hill, Tallahassee, Blacksburg, and Morgantown for football games.

Why don’t you want to play more teams from the same conference more often?

And your hate for LSU makes it to where you are so quick to say how much we aren't a rival that you cant even properly read a fricking sentence. Where in what you quoted does he claim we are your rival?

How long have you been a college football fan? And I'm sorry that it hasn't been entertaining to you since then.

It has always been an option. And your AD had 50% of the control to make that happen (Oklahoma and Texas had the other 50% each).
Maybe you should get a collective together with your AD about what he/she is going to do about fan entertainment. That is their job and they have obviously let you down.

Georgia has played Notre Dame and Clemson twice in the last 5 seasons with OOC schedules.
We had Oklahoma on the schedule this year.
Prior to that, we've had UNC, home and home with Clemson, home and home with Colorado, home and home with Oklahoma St, home and home with Arizona St.
All the while playing Georgia Tech every season and adding in Boise St a couple of times to boot.

Because Notre Dame and Clemson are more sexy than Vandy, Missouri, South Carolina, Ole Miss, A&M, Miss St, & Arkansas. Hell, Georgia Tech is a better program than those schools.

since the end of the 2017 season, their OOC schedule has included one game against a team from one of the Power 5 conferences, Texas. That's sad

STFU

Outside of the normal 8 game schedule Arkansas schedules Texas, BYU, TCU, etc outside the league as do most other teams.
