The SEC made a mistake hitching it's network wagon to ESPN. Stankey the yankee screwed us.

They're just getting in on it with the new Big 10 deal. I'm not sure where NBC falls in the pecking order for games. You'd think the Big 10 would want flashy primetime games but Fox is going to be the primary partner which I guess means they'll still get first shot at the best game for their stupid 11 AM kick offs, then CBS at 2:30 and NBC gets the night games.

We are getting the short end of the stick broadcast-wise with tying everything into ESPN. Their productions are lower quality in general and they just lost their best or 2nd best color guy in Blackledge. We will have Chris and Kirk and not much else.

the way things are trending the competition for on air talent is gonna be a lot different with the competing networks
I could see Davis, Herbstreit and Fowler being coveted commodities

Thank Allah they found room for a chick on the broadcast. I had been fretting about that.

“Spinning ESPN/ABC is the best path forward and we see it as a reasonably probable late-’23 event.”

Stankey the yankee screwed us.
eta - as for Blackledge - that's a big loss for SEC games going forward. he and McDonough were the original SEC on CBS duo before Uncle Vern joined and later Gary.
with Blackledge leaving for NBC - I guess that signals Flower & Herbstreet will get the SEC GOTW on ABC/ESPN.

Tappen is really good. And she's hot.

I’ll have to take your word about her “talent.”
As for hot … I like my women *substantial*.

I don’t understand how we fricked it up so bad. Networks should have crawled to the SEC with the viewership and money we bring.
I actually feel like they should do regional broadcasting like with the NFL on all networks.
