Then what is in it for them? If their cause isn't just, why would they put themselves at risk over this? You think they're just bored?

Yeah what are we going to do? Forfeit the BYU game in Kansas City next week? Mizzou would have to pay BYU a shite ton of money for not being able to field a team and failing to live up on the ticket/TV contracts.

I would be absolutely livid with Pinkel if I were a Mizzou fan.

we've already had one black president at MU, he turned out to be a huge loser and had a racist pos for a wife.
So if this current president is responsible for those drive by slurs, then is Obama responsible for all of it?

Wolfe should have addressed the incidents in a timely matter. I'm proud of the players. All university students should feel welcome on their own campus.
Proud of them? Explain to us what they want that you're so proud of, please.
You think a university president should do what, exactly, each time somebody on campus says something you don't like? Resign? Are you operating under some notion that every white person who walks on or near the university campus speaks for the university?

They're fighting against a lack of response from the university over perceived inaction to campus racism.
I don't know, and neither do 99% of people on here, if the cause is just, but they believe it is. And that's a perspective that should be respected by the university. The fact that it seems to be respected by the entire athletic department speaks volumes.

Basically the whole story except for a heavily edited video that shows the President answering a question about "systematic oppression".

Do you care? You've already decided very openly that whatever it is, it's not right or holds any validity.
Question - even if you do not believe in what they're peddling, do you at least believe that they have the right to stand up, even protest for what they believe, right or wrong.

Add the fact that the majority of Mizzou posters here do not respect it is even more telling.

they should ask the students at Missouri with high GPAs in challenging majors if they think the school president should be forced out for alleged acts of racism by other people. I doubt the majority of these football players are burning it up in the class room yet are getting a free ride.
the swastika is more indicative of anti-Jew racism not anti-black racism. The person who did it could just be a shock jock. Many of these incidents in recent years have been done by minorities and it wouldn't be shocking if a Black Lives Matters person did it. a lot of people will do anything to get attention.

Meh, I wouldn't expect a lot of perspective from a football message board.

You know nothing about me, but jumped to a conclusion about my perception of and feelings for black people because I happen to be white.
Screw you, a-hole.

Of course I do. I also believe that the University of Missouri stating that there's no institutionalized, systematic, nor condoned racism or oppression at the University is both credible and sufficient.
