Will they will lose scholarships and then go right back home to work at the gas station. Sounds like a great career choice on their part

You know nothing about the situation but keep posting like you do.
That was my first post in this thread.
From what I'm reading it sounds like a lot of ado about nothing BUT that's me. Would I be protesting... Hell no. BUT I'm not going to tell another man what he should stand up for, right or wrong.
Of course their actions have consequences but so would the University. Anyone screaming that they should pull scholarships obviously does not care about Mizzou athletics and just wants chaos.
These football players risk their lives every time they go out on the field. They work their butts off, blood sweat and tears for these schools. Some in this thread make it as if they are ungrateful when most of these athletes are trying there best. I don't hear a lot of compassion in many of these posts. I try to have empathy for people especially if they are misguided.

Gary Pinkel weighs in.
So a university employ, Pinkel, endorses a walkout by the players due to alleged but unsubstantiated misconduct on the part of university leadership.
This isn't like filing your TPS reports an hour late.
Looks to me like Pinkel may have provided cause for his termination.
SEC - dump Mizzery now.

Has BYU commented yet?

Will they field a team for their final three games? Are their players practicing?

I'd hate to be a white player at Mizzou right now. You're either outcast by your own team or have to jump on some bullshite false outrage.

That would essentially kill the Mizzou football program for years to come if they actually go through with this.

Id like to form a group to protest called "Legion of White Collegians". We will start by protesting the MU school colors. I find the black and gold racist and unfair unless they officially change the colors to black AND white. Who wants to join?

he explained it pretty well, but to take it one step further, they have the right to protest but that DOES NOT give them the right to ignore or deny the terms of the scholarship agreement that they accepted on enrollment, which among other things includes "show up for practice, make grades, be more than an abject failure as a community role model".
How have they ignored their scholarship agreement, outside of sucking every Saturday? Are we at that point yet? They obviously want to be heard, right or wrong.
I'm not sure if you're just venting but "be more than abject failures" from a Mizzou fan is yet another comment that rings of trouble in dem hills.

Agree, and this is why Pinkel and the AD should not be publicly weighing in on this, since it's a matter of baloney false "racism" charges against the president of the U.

Can't believe they're actually going through with this shite.
Missouri should just cancel the rest of their games if this is true.

So Pinkel is standing behind these student-athletes .... to have his boss fired.
Check.
Pinkel stood behind Michael Sam and gay rights on the team.
Check.
Mizzou's offense sucks.
Check.
Deflection management in effect.
Check.
Yankee school exposes itself as yankee school.
Check.
I like where this is going for Mizzou.

I was trying to explain something to you that was already explained pretty well by 808, it's clear now you're simply too stupid to understand... chalking it up to time wasted on an idiot.

If they do this, they're fricked even worse. They have contractual obligations to their opponents, to the SEC. There's some serious consequences for forfeiting games, very serious.
