wasn't there supposed to be some "hit piece" that came out before Freeze speaks at SEC Media Days? Surely that wasn't the SI article.

Pat forde was supposed to release it and apparently interviewed a bunch of people nutt recruited and got kicked off and were mad at ole miss. Of course he is there at media days so that would be a bold move to do it and be around all of the coaches and fans

When Nutt got fired obviously we weren't bowl eligible. But if we were, less than half of the team would have been academically eligible to participate in the bowl game.
In the last year of the Nutt administration, he let the kids skip class, smoke weed, skip practice....whatever they wanted to do. It was a complete abdication of his coaching responsibilities.
Freeze came in and turned that around. Kids either left the team, or got back in the classroom and got straight by the start of the next season.
If the Forde piece is about anything, it should be about the 180 that Freeze put in place.

Nah. That shite was real. And here's a news flash: Football players smoke weed during Christmas Break.
But you have to compare it to the Nutt era: I'm talking about a situation where the CAPTAIN of the team skips PRACTICE to go smoke weed the week of the Alabama game. I mean, that's almost impossible to get your mind around if you hadn't seen it in color.
I mean, we weren't far from not even being able to field a football team when Freeze arrived on campus. The turnaround in academic performance, accountability, and attitude has been huge.

This is a small sample size off the top of my head. Pretty sure Reverend Freeze had 9 arrests on his football team all within a single calendar year.
Glad to see he's really turned that program around.

Also since he's been at ole miss, msu has only snuck by with a win 1 time against him. At home, in overtime, with your greatest player ever. Eat chode, redneck
