That is right. Perkins inherited a depleted team and depleted it even more. Wake up. Were you alive then?

Remember. When curry arrived Bama was in the toilet. Bryant’s last year Southern Mississippi smashed Alabama at home. Then Perkins who was the giant that was going to save the program sank it even more. Curry recruited a national championship team from nothing but the Bryant boys had him fired. The next coach who had an average record wins a championship with Curry’s team then down hill. That is a fact jack.
Spot on brother

He depleted it by signing a bunch of future All-Pros and winning games his last 2 seasons while handing Curry a list of All-SEC/All-American players?
That doesn't make very much sense, but ok.

Yes I was

You have no idea what you are talking about

Bill Curry is the Jimmy Carter of college football. Utterly incompetent at his job, but always more than happy to pontificate about everything that's wrong with college football.

I was. You clearly weren't. Perkins' most successful team was his last. One has to have the football IQ of a turnip to believe that happens as a result of depleting talent every year the course of four years.

BS. Curry thought 10-2 should be fine at Alabama.
THAT was his problem.
THAT was his problem.

shame on you

What does me being a mother have to do being able to know and call out when a grown man is being a cry baby?
Do you really think a man should take a job coaching at school like Bama, GA, or LSU and be upset that fans expect him to beat his rival?
I don't want my coaches to be cry babies, I want them to be alpha males!

What was the rationale for hiring him in the first place? He had just come off a 5-5-1 season at Georgia Tech.

I mean, that happens when you go 0-3 against Auburn.

Now that would've been interesting. Does Saban stay in the NFL for another year or does he take another CFB job that opened like Miami? Or does Michigan hire him instead at the end of 07?

but bama fans "claim" they don't care about Auburn. It's all about beating bama for Auburn.

We are talking about the 80's when Aubbie was actually good at football

When you're so incompetent at your job that a prince of a man like CM Newton has to fire you, that says it all.
