"Problem with this is it'd get used against you in recruiting"

Dude, if you are recruiting these types of gaping vaginas that would consider that in their recruitment, then it probably explains why Texass is never gonna be great again.
IMO any primadonna that is using that for an excuse to opt out could sit his azz in the hotel room during the game and watch Oprah. I wouldn't let them on the sidelines.

It’s a status symbol with the players. Opting out means you are cool. Get to stand on sideline and wave towel.

Honestly I wish they would just opt out the whole year. If you are good enough for the nfl just go work out for a year and get ready for the draft.

I don't think he could really help all that much. He was on the field vs Arkansas last year and they still got skullfricked

I really don't see the point in first round players playing in these meaningless bowl games.

Well, they need to toughen up and make peace with the fact this is pro football now. Your whole team got paid and opted out of the season.

I know him. I know him well. He is an absolute POS. He is as fake as they come and he has done some really bad shite to some kids to help himself over the years.
He is a POS.

I said it then. This has nothing to do with school loyalty.

And I’m not arguing their right to opt out. Rights go both ways. I have a right to ridicule them for it.

It’s a social contagion that players think this is what they should do. Safety is the excuse, but there is no evidence to back that up.

This has nothing to do with capitalism. No one is arguing against their right to opt out.

They are free to do as they choose. They are not free from criticism.

the shitty Alamo Bowl…

Which bowl game being played is a factor? You saying players play harder depending on what bowl they are in? If that's the case then someone isn't giving their all when called upon.

But he risked it for ULM and UTSA?

Well he desperately needed those games for his resume

Bijan isn’t even a top 100 RB in college vs ranked teams

Meh, it’s the Alamo bowl. If I were his mother and father, I’d encourage him to do the exact same thing after seeing what happened to Matt Corral last year.

But yes, it was really awkward for him to still be on the sideline as a cheerleader when he’s not suiting up

No problem with him opting out but Sark should’ve told him good luck and we will see you later. Having him go through bowl week and be on the sidelines is a slap in the face to the other players.
This. It’s no secret he was liked by the players and seen as a leader, but if you’re not going to suit up to prepare for the draft, then what part of sitting on the sidelines waiving pompoms is preparing exactly?

Very awkward look. And him celebrating with the backup running back after the touchdowns was also cringe. Maybe make it less about yourself?

I certainly have a new found respect for Will Anderson and Bryce Young. Not sure how Saban gets those guys to play but it works.
