2019 Award clearly went to UNC's Sam Howell. In fact, ESPN rates UNC as having the 2nd best true freshman class behind LSU.

For 2020, I'm going with UNC recruit WR Josh Downs. He dominated in the Army All Star game. Mr. Howell will enjoy his talents next season.

Why do y'all think you don't have receiver talent???????? How many years of 5* star we after 5* star will it take for y'all to realize talent isn't the issue?

Pickens was UGA’s first 5* WR since AJ Green. Keep pushing that narrative though I guess.

Robertson was a 5 star...#13 overall in the 2016 class

Blaylock was a borderline 5 star. #36 overall

Who transferred to UGA. He did not commit to UGA. Also, wasn’t he listed as an athlete?

Oh so despite the fact that he was a 5 star, he doesn’t count because he was a transfer?

So... what?
Jeudy, Ruggs, and Smith all contributed heavily for us as freshmen. Waddle did too.
Maybe your WR development is just shite

When the claim is UGA hadn’t signed a 5* WR since AJ Green, yes. Players generally transfer for a reason. Shorter was a 5* and accumulated 15 receptions in 2 years. I wouldn’t count him as a 5* now, would you?

Were they your only receivers? Cager, Robertson, and Jackson were all hurt for most of the year. Do bama’s LB’s suck or did they just experience attrition last year? I will say Coley and Fromm didn’t do them any favors last year. The offensive scheme was bad and Fromm never learned to throw a deep ball. Cager had more production in half a year than any year at Miami, so who knows. It’s also a bit odd you’re saying UGA and bama’s offense had the same scheme with an equally talented QB. Almost like it’s not an apples to apples comparison. Nice try I guess.

I expect Ringo to make an immediate impact in Nickel and Dime packages by mid-Fall. Dude is too good despite how loaded our DB room is.

Was the number 1 corner in the class, so I’d expect him out there as well.

Jeudy had 264 receiving yard and Ruggs 220 and Smith had 160.

Thars what you consider "heavy contributers? LMAO!

I mean Jalen was throwing to them...

And yes Bama’s LBs were bad. Harris wasn’t a top 100 recruit and he didn’t play LB at all in HS. Lee was not physically ready to play.

WR is one of the easiest positions to transition from HS to College

I think you’re the one pushing a narrative. Terry godwin and mecole hardman were both 5 stars

Neither was a WR coming out of HS.

Depends on the offense. I doubt any WR would’ve put big numbers up in UGA’s offense last year.

So every returning LB for bama is trash? That’s tough.

Pickens had more recieving yards than Juedy,Riggs and Smith combined as Freshman and Blaylock had more yards than any of the 3.

Jeudy had a crucial catch in the NC game. Ruggs had a clutch TD in the NC game (6 TDs on the year) and was scoring on every other catch.

DeVonta Smith, 2nd and 26. Nuff said

lol I didn’t bother to look it up. Should’ve known a bama fan wouldn’t be honest. Pickens and Blaylock finished with better numbers than those. Guess UGA is better at developing WR’s than bama.
