UGA’s offense wasn’t going to produce big numbers from any WR

I get that but I'm just saying any offense is gonna be difficult in the SEC for a freshman WR to make an impact.

Chase and Jefferson didn't at LSU and obviously those Bama's WR didn't as well.

Look at Hazelwood at OU.and he's not even in the SEC.

Hazelwood had more talent in front of him at OU than Pickens and Blaylock did at UGA. I agree that players improve every year, but generally freshman WR’s can make an impact if they don’t have to be the number 1 option.

Don't think you got my point.Hazelwood had
275 yards and one 1 TD and that was in the
OU offense.Just pointing out the difficult
of the posistion even for 5* playing in OU
offense

I agree the jump from HS to college is difficult. I just think Hazelwood not being able to break into the starting offense kept him from producing more. If Hazelwood would’ve gotten the same number of snaps as Pickens in OU’s offense, I think he would’ve produced more. Obviously no way to know for sure. OU’s offense also didn’t do as well through the air this year. Not sure if them being able to change their offense and still make the playoffs says more about Riley’s ability as a HC or how bad the big 12 is. Probably a bit of both.

I get that but look at OU's 4 starting Wideouts.Lamb is obviously a stud but 2 others were walk-ons and another was 4 star.

I mean Hazelwood was the #1 ranked WR in the country and he couldn't get PT in front of 2 walk on seniors?

Not saying those guys were shite and Hazelwood is a bust I'm just pointing out how difficult the transition is from HS to college for WR's
