One - most fans at most schools are decent people. The psychos on message boards are not indicative of the overall population. And as someone with family in South Bend, and 2 good friends whose fathers were their respective class presidents at Notre Dame (one of them even has a plaque in their locker room to commemorate his contributions to the school), I’ve been to games and the campus many times and yes, even the saintly Irish have bad fans. ALL fanbases do but it is a small fraction of the fanbase except for two schools: 1) Ohio State (many good Buckeye friends that are great people but a high % of violent non-grads and boy do I have stories about the 2004 Texas game there) and 2) will shock some people, but Colorado - multiple friends with kids there and they love the school but the scumbaggery of a shockingly high % of their fans was shocking to them.

I’ve been to hundreds of CFB games and the only places I’ve seen home team vs opposing fan violence to a serious degree is College Station and Columbus. But despite me talking shite about the Aggies, you don’t see me generalize about their fanbase because most of them are good people.

I would have to reread the details behind the 2011 scheduling issue, but I will say that with OK ST they got a make up call(s) with the way those games (and nearly every subsequent TX-OK ST game in Austin) were officiated. There are only 2 Texas losses ever I will fully blame on officiating - and one of them was one of these games (the other a few years later).

Nebraska hated Texas from Day 1 because we wouldn’t join without eliminating partial qualifiers. That is the one and only reason they left the conference. How has cutting off their old Big 8/Texas recruiting pipeline worked out for them? Colorado simply thought the Pac was a better fit and was also probably a little sore about the 70-3 beatdown in the Big 12 CG.

As a Sooner, I’d hope that you do hate UT but don’t pretend for a second that our schools weren’t mutually beneficial to each other in the Big 12 and in moving the SEC. I don’t like y’all either but I do respect you - plus my misguided grandfather played OL for the Sooners way back in the day. Good luck against Bama.

You are an extremely sad individual; full of hate. Be honest... are you a T-shirt over 50?

I work with Ags, Sooners, and others every single year and make good money doing it.

PS: I'm not your old jousting buddy Vernon

I've had a lot more interaction with Texas fans since I live in Texas, so, if I'm making the call on that then I'm going with Notre Dame. At least 80% of the the Texas fans I know or interact with are good people.

From a fan base perspective, Texas T shirt fans are the worst and there isn't anyone close. There were also multiple instances at the stadium where the TU faithful showed there arse at the A&M game. It was beyond bad.

ND, as an administration, really stepped in it by opting out. That is about as bad a look as anyone can have. I wonder if Freeman is leaving for the NFL and pushed for this to get to NY as soon as possible?

It always amazes me how these 'sip trolls can get banned and then show back up a week later under a new alter and they are too stupid to disguise the way they post. I don't know if it is ignorance or they just don't care. Vernon is starting to be a regular xwing/.../menu2

And the bonus is we got extra weeks to rest up before the playoffs

And we're making an extra $20M from the game.

I'm not sayin we threw the game with whorn, but as a business proposition, we had millions of reasons to throw the game.

But to be fair, if I had to choose between either beating steers and queers at football or making the CFP, I choose the CFP everytime.

Half the SEC would’ve made the playoffs with your cakewalk schedule

I downvoted, not because I hate Notre Dame, but because I hate you.
