Embarrassing for who?? For you?? I wasn't embarrassed. Couple losses and there LSU was. Just like Bama this year.

2012 season was the probably the worst in Arkansas history. Now, it's your off-season and you're finally coming back to the SECRant to make some noise!

Well, Woo-Pig and welcome back! I'm sure there might be some on here who missed y'all this past football season.

Tell me who should've played over LSU instead in 2007.

tbf, OU would have been in the MNC if not for the screw job in Autzen .

The correct answer to the OP is clearly 2011 Bama.

It's funny how LSU "backed in" but no other team had the qualifications to "back in" to the national championship.

2007 LSU no doubt. Are you kidding? Lost to Kentucky for gods sake. Snicker.

They had their coach claiming to be undefeated, in regulation, to justify needing two other teams losing on the last day of the season in order for them to back into the title game. Sad dark day for the SEC.

Bama handled their backing into the title game with class both times the past two years.

What's seemingly being overlooked is that Alabama is only going to the BCSCG this season because undefeated Ohio State is banned from post-season play this year

Not necessarily. BCS expert Brad Edwards has stated that Bama would likely be ranked ahead of Ohio State in the BCS even if Ohio State were bowl eligible and Ohio State is ranked #11 in the Sagarin Ranking (used as part of the computer portion of the BCS calculation).

I know people think that Ohio State would be voted ahead of a 1 loss SEC team, but the Big Ten was below the SEC, Big 12, Pac 12, and ACC this year. Going undefeated from that conference isn't an automatic BCSCG berth even with a big name like Ohio State.

0...Nanoseconds of sleep Alabama or LSU fans lose over your opinion of our team's national championship game appearances.

you know what's the difference between us and Arky? We can actually beat Ohio State.

That's true. But I've seen LSU lose to Ohio State, as well. Just sayin'.

These Arkie posts are enjoyable. They make me think back to the football season you just completed.

Then, I think to myself, "Self, maybe these posts are like a brilliant red Phoenix, rising up from the ashes of destruction."

But when I look closer, I realize these posts are actually more like a damn Water Turkey drying itself on a tree branch. Not so glorious and inspiring, but I guess you could call it a "rebirth."

Easily 2007 LSU. 2 losses, both to shite programs like Arky and Kentucky. Plus, the only reason they were able to pull it off anyway is because of all of Saban's recruits that were still there. It was the perfect storm IMO.

Alabama wouldn't be in the NC game over an undefeated OSU this year, though. OSU would be there if not for the bowl ban.

Some people are so stupid. Why does everyone automatically assume that things would turn out the same if you changed something in the past? Who's to say the postseason ban didn't motivate Ohio State into playing with an us-against-the-world mentality all year? Who's to say the pressure of being on the cusp of a BCSNCG birth wouldn't have affected them the way it affected Oregon, K-State and arguably Alabama?

I mean, come on. Use your damn brain.

LSU's back in came in a year that every team had two losses (except Kansas, I know). It is the very reason why I hope for all SEC teams to win in post season bowls. SOS and rep come into, play sooner or later.
