Hogan got over with his name, in ring presence. His matches were usually short & the same due to his inabilities.
Flair would routinely have 30 minutes to an hr grueling matches.
Hogan has said he was no where near the wrestler Flair was.

On a brighter side, Flair/Hogan are friends.
Hogan visited Flair in the hospital a few years ago when Ric nearly died with a ruptured intestine.

Bro, you even Farm Center? Wrasslin on WTVY followed by Gene Reagan Farm Show on Saturday evening. Have a donnybrook and Commentatator hollering “we got to get outta here!” Come to the Farm Center tonight to see it play out!” great time to grow up in the Wiregrass.

Flair is also a big reason Hogan came to WCW. He trusted him.

"I will gracefully accept and acknowledge that compliment (the interviewer referred to him as one of the greatest of all time) because it means so much, especially coming from my peers, to say that," Hogan said. "The guy who is my hero, and who I think is the greatest wrestler of all time, that's Ric Flair. So I do appreciate the comment but I have a different opinion about who is the best wrestler and the greatest of all time, I have to go with Flair."

Red Holland used to come over to the homeplace. He made commercials for my family hog and cattle sales held on our farm. He would come over, eat dinner at my GrandMother’s, film the commercial, then go fishing on the lake behind my house!

That territory was the best place to work in the early 80s according to Duggan. They ran mostly in the panhandle (especially Pensacola) and you could make good money and be back in your own bed almost every night.
He left to make more money in Mid South but would sometimes drive 3000 miles a week.

Hogan could actually work (see his Japan stuff) but he just didn't need to here.

Saying Hogan>Flair may be the worst post ever. Congratulations!

Depends. Even Meltzer (who hates Hogan) said he's the biggest box office draw of all time.

Ric Flair

Probably the greatest living athlete, or maybe ever.

He is a national treasure.

When his spirit is released from the surly bonds of this planet, I hope they bronze him and place him in the Smithsonian Institute in an interactive exhibit for school children to visit so that they may aspire to his greatness one day.
