1. OSU (the non okie state version) v OU (the non Oklahoma version) NBC

had a nice little weekend coming in runner up to UGA Bama on the season.

2. UT vs OU ABC

4 penn state USC CBS

5 LSU vs OM ABC

6 K state vs Co state ESPN

7 UF UT ESPN

Really?

If so they were just trolling you man.

The number 1 team in the nation commands eyes and attention even when they get to bring in the subs vs a lower tier team.

Why did NBC get OSU and Oregon? I thought they were ND only?

It may go down as the single worst decision in sports/ media history.

The B1G has contracts with CBS, NBC and FOX. I don't know the specifics, but that is one big reason they are making more money than us this year.

I do like having the big games all on one channel though.. Turn on ABC in the morning and let it ride + watch the Texas game on whatever channel if it isn't ABC.. I just wish they would get rid of the stupid ticker..

No clue I didn’t realize it was on there till I saw these come out.

For me it’s tune to ABC and let it be and switch to ESPN/SECN accordingly at game time if LSU on one of the sister networks

Big Ten on CBS continues to fail

I wouldn't deem it a failure, as Big 10 has not yet really gotten into the meat of it's conference schedule.

Penn State @ USCw (4.3 million) had more viewers than Ole Miss @ LSU (4.2 million) which would have been the CBS game of the week.

Penn State @ USCw was also in line with last year's week 7 CBS game of the week, Texas A&M @ Tennessee (4.38 viewers).

compare the kickoff time windows - Texas/OU shattered Penn St/Southern Cal in the 330 window - and Texas /OU could have been on CBS if they would have paid market value for SEC football instead of overpaying for the 3rd best game each week after Fox/NBC/Peacock make their picks -

CBS will continue to get its arse handed to it from a cost/benefit ratio -

Oh really.

It’s week 7 and all teams have played a comparable number of conference games.

Maybe it’s they just don’t have as intriguing of matchups

No wonder the Big Ten wants a schedule arrangement with the SEC
CBS can't wait to trot out Danielson to call a SEC Big 10 game

A storied rivalry had big viewership? Shocking!

Red River Rivalry did about the same (slightly less) as last year's viewership when it was in the noon window.

Harvard vs Cornell had more viewers than Missouri vs UMass

I'm not even sure the Big 12 would take Missouri back.

All you have to realize is that CBS could have had mostly the first choice of SEC games (including Texas and OU games) for LESS money than they're paying for 2nd/3rd choice of Big 10 games.

While you can argue that getting first choice of Big 10 games might be better... that's not what they have. Even before the season everyone knew the first choice SEC games for less money would have been a much smarter deal.

They lowballed the SEC, panicked and ended up paying more for worse content because they needed something to air for college football.
