This.
Until they eliminate opinion polls from the selection process, which they haven't yet, the field will be subjective - and that means subject to influence ($).

Just be content with the Meineke Muffler Bowl. After all your good players opt out, your second and third stringers should have no trouble with Eastern Carolina

But Texas boat raced you.

At least you’re not claiming you deserve a playoff spot after 3 losses

You didn’t lose a playoff spot because you scheduled a ooc game …. You lost a playoff spot because you lost that game …. Went and fricked around and got drilled by 25 to UGA and then lost to Florida who had won 2 games at the time … went to OT vs last place Miss state and Kentucky …… that’s why your out . Yes u have some good wins but you also played poorly for half the year

Florida beat Texas by nine points. I believe the words “boat raced” were used to describe the loss. Therefore, based on that logic, Texas boat raced Texas A&M.

What you fail to understand is that the precedent was set in 2023 (Bama over FSU) that the committee values resume over record. (This is also why Ole Miss should be worried right now with the changes they had today).
Anyways if they reverse that precedent and go with record over resume you will see OOC blue blood matchups disappear. Texas will probably drop their tOSU and Michigan series in Austin which won’t please ESPN (who has the rights to the playoffs and the rights to Texas home games). The mouse will make sure Texas is in.

It’s not deflecting or crying, it’s pointing out obvious issues in the current system.
As a fan I hope you enjoy watching fewer and fewer big matchups before October because that’s what you are going to get period. I hope our AD and any other cancels any matchup against a historically good team. 90% of the ncaa plays nobodies anyways so might as well join them

They were beating you by 15 points until they let you score in garbage time at the games end
You were whipped soundly

Okay, you’re obviously right, Texas is unworthy of any type of praise. However, for such a mediocre team, I’m left wondering how they were able to beat Oklahoma, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M. Furthermore, no one in the 2025 season has played Ohio State closer in football than the Texas Longhorns.

What makes you think week 5 Texas should have beaten Florida the swamp? What gives you some much conviction?
What’s Texas’ argument for being ahead of Miami?

Texas beat OU because Mateer with his injured hand threw for 3 ints … it was a one score game with 7 minutes to go in game then they had a block in the back
Punt return that opened the game up … Texas played better got some calls and won

There’s only 4 in conference. And nobody in your list visited a team who was undefeated at the end of the regular season.

Texas would be in without the OSU game.
No one believes this but Texas fans.
You can pretend Florida didn’t happen and that your OT wins over teams like Miss St and Kentucky, who was curb stomped by a sorry Louisville team, don’t matter if you want. But that doesn’t really serve you any good in the long term.
You didn’t have a playoff worthy year.

Texas argument against Miami.
Miami’s resume has one good win in ND, Texas has OU, A&M, Vandy.
Miami has lost to two below average teams in Louisville and SMU. I would argue FL is a better team than Louisville and SMU anyway.
So we have better wins, they have more bad losses. Texas has a much harder SOS.
