And Beatbammer, those chicks you posted a few pages back aren't hippies, they're models.
They look amazingly similar to the hippie chicks I knew growing up in Fortson GA.

TT you need to change the thread title to Big News = Mike Blakely. People keep asking cuz there's no way to find out what the big news was without wasting time reading this partially hijacked thread

Well, I guess I could have saved you some time and a lot of creepiness. I have posted there. I, in fact, believe that Bobby Lowder is a scum who has been a pariah to Auburn as well as to college football in general. I share that sentiment with many of my Auburn friends as well as many of the faculty there.
Lowder has micromanaged the whole university to the point that the freaking New York Times has been up your rear ends for going on a decade now. These aren't "ATPBers."
Lowder has controlled your Board of Trustees with his buddies, and directed your athletic department from his position as chairman of the BOT for decades. Pat Dye, who is responsible for your program being in serious NCAA trouble in the past still has an office in your athletic Dept. building. In case you were so busy ignoring ATPB and missed it, the Chairman of your BOT lost his bank and is running up against an indictment for defrauding the government. Once Lowder got reappointed to the board, it wasn’t ATPB that got the whole BOT removed from consideration. Auburn people did.
If I have something that is to be shared about Bobby Lowder, I'll do it on ATPB, the main board or anywhere I feel like doing so. But the simple fact is, most of my posts for the past several months on ATPB have been basic chit chat and some back an forth over tornados and not anything really related to AU. If I feel like I know something credible about AU or Lowder doing something wrong, I will discuss it, the same as Auburn folks would, and have done, if allegations were made against Alabama. The difference is I don't get into loose speculation. Some people may be on to some things, but I don’t feel comfortable adding anything to the conversation.
I agree that the number of quality commitments AU has gotten lately portend that there is a general sense among recruits that things are well. It guess it is possible that Auburn has schemed to fool all of them or is paying them to come and keep their mouths shut, but it's also possible that WDE24 might make a quality post. Both are far fetched, and the likelihood is, there is a sense that things are well. I sure as heck am not going insinuate otherwise without some serious proof, nor do I think something like that to be the case. When the loose speculation stuff happens, you don't see me partaking.
But the bottom line is that Bobby Lowder and his cronies are bad dudes, and there is some likelihood that there will be some serious repercussions coming down the pike for AU.
Also, Lord, please forgive me for pointing out that Greek needs to stick his ideas back up his rear end. And I'm so, so sorry I hurt his feelings.

Does one lose the ability to reason at Auburn, or do you just not have it going in?
By the way, when I made mention of WDE24 not making any worthy posts, I actually meant you.
Sorry WDE24.

Posting is not like talking. You have extra time to think before saying something stupid. Use every bit of that time before you post again.

***QUESTION***
For transferring Mike Blakely has to sit out a year from football. Does that mean you can't practice with the team and make trips with them this year?
Tell me what he can do if no.... TIA

I'm sure he'll be able to practice. I'm guessing he only goes to home games.
Posted on 5/26/11 at 3:47 pm to Xenonaut
He can practice, and travel with the team, just won't dress.
Posted on 5/26/11 at 3:47 pm to Xenonaut
I think it would be like a RS year unless I'm mistaken

All 3 of you had pretty much the same answer.

AL.com is saying "Florida gave him a full release from his scholarship. Normally, a player has to sit out a season when transferring, but there's a possibility that Blakely may be eligible this season."
How is that possible?
How is that possible?

I don't think it's possible. He has already had one semester at UF
