Bob Bowlsby, the puppet installed as the Big 12 Commissioner after t.u.'s last puppet, Dan Beebe, was scapegoated for A&M and Missouri leaving and forced to resign, is just now realizing he's a puppet 10 years later.

Not what it is about. He is saying can get to the college playoff easier in the Big 12 than in the SEC.

He says the pac-12 dropping to 8 conference games is silly because they won’t have better non conference games. They then sign lsu vs usc the next day. Big12 commissioner is an idiot

I wish they would listen to Bowlsby.

Here is the part he is saying this in the article below.
Bowlsby suggested the two powerhouses leaving his league will create competitive issues in the SEC.
"Their chances [to advance to the College Football Playoff] are better coming through the Big 12," he said. "That's a silly part of it. It's not very much money [difference], and competitively, they've got a better path [in the Big 12]. It makes no sense."
"It does make sense to project Oklahoma will have a difficult time winning six consecutive league titles in the SEC like it has done in the Big 12. It will be equally difficult for Texas to rekindle past glory as the Longhorns have not won a conference title since 2009."

It's not because we're traditional, it's because you're a bad fit.

Nope! If Arkansas loses 5 in row then that isn't a good look for Arkansas!

The SEC didn't have to invite you.

But they did, and OU and tu begged in, other big 12 detractors didn’t

You sure? Did the SEC tell you that? Oh, they don't tell you anything? Sorry.

Don’t be a revisionist, it’s embarrassing even for tu

I personally don’t support any of this crap. It’s very shortsighted.
How long before Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma, hell possibly Arkansas and whoever the hell else they add, decide they want to change the name of the conference to be more “inclusive” to the teams that are not southern or eastern?
I can just envision so many ways this goes sideways and I don’t mean 50 years down the road either.

Big 12 is working through the 2nd stage of grief.
Anger
3. Bargaining will be next. Followed by..
4. Depression. And finally...
5. Acceptance

More likely they just want Sankey to spell their name correctly when he makes out their checks. The only thing going sideways is the big 12. They are a short step away from going G-5.

A&M can make up whatever bullshite SEC origin story they want, but you won't be able to change what we all know happened. Sankey dad dicked y'all. Period.
OUCH
And then despite the biggest melt of all time, what do you do? You vote for the state of Texas's flagship university to join the SEC. At the end of the day Texas A&M does what they're told. Good boy.

"We want to be the only SEC team from Texas. There's a reason Texas A&M left the Big 12 — to stand alone and have our own identity. That's our feeling."
quote:
"There's this understanding among the membership -- at least it was 10 years ago -- that you don't admit a school from the same state as a member school unless that member school's OK with it," Loftin told ESPN.com on Thursday. "We talked about it from time to time among ourselves, that this was the way it was going to be, that if we had another school in Texas wanting to enter the SEC, Texas A&M would have veto power."
quote:
“Every Aggie I’ve talked to is totally against it, which shouldn’t surprise you at all,” Loftin said. “There’s been nobody I’ve talked to from A&M’s community that thinks this is a good idea for A&M.”
OUCH

Bowlsby flailing about because he no longer has Texas telling him what to say.
