Has anyone watched these compelling games? How do you compare the CBS production versus the new SEC on ABC production? I miss the CBS theme music and Brad and Gary. Wonder if while broadcasting they have the 2:30 ABC game on? Hope in a few years CBS tries to get back.

They paid $350 million for this when the SEC offer on the table was only $300 million.

CBS is paying more for much much less.

Let them rot. They did not want to pay for premium SEC games. Let them enjoy third rate games

I caught beginning of Iowa Iowa st and nessler first comment was about how low scoring it would be

I share that sentiment but I do not like having Disney controlling all games. I don’t care obviously about the money cause I don’t benefit obviously. However, when you have a monopoly on something, I believe quality etc begins to suffer. Hope on next round of tv contracts Sankey splits up the pie.

The matchups may suck, but I'd rather have CBS or even Fox production value over 11nty ESPN channels where the talent is spread so thin the really shitty teams get female announcers.

The game went wire to wire. It wasn’t boring at all.

Hearing that legendary theme song for these games is infuriating to me.

ESPN and ABC have taken over college football. You get an occasional good game from Fox, but they have benefited early from the Shorthorns and ALABAMA on their noon kickoff. I believe that has something to do with the shorthorns and sooners leaving the B12 early and this is how Fox is compensated for lost TV revenue. Or maybe they just have to share when we get these SEC/B12/B1G matchups.

I think the ESPN/ABC package has been great. New songs and all. They know they now have the best games locked up and they control the playoffs for years to come. And if you are still on Direct TV you are missing the entire extravaganza. What SEC fan would still be on Direct TV?

-Having the game of the week in prime time, rather than the mid-afternoon CBS slot has been good.
-Having an earlier idea on kickoff teams has been great.
-Having the A game being called by Herbie/Fowler has been an upgrade from Gary/Brad.

If I were a B1G fan, the network picking shuffle would drive me bonkers. Some weeks Fox gets first pick and puts their big game at noon. Some weeks CBS goes first and puts the big game mid-day. Some weeks NBC goes first, and their scheduling is all over the place. (And getting stuck on an NBC broadcast rn is the worst).

I watched a chunk of IA/IA State, and it’s still just weird to hear Gary and the theme music with non-SEC teams. Gary sounds just not into it.

Yep. AWFUL negotiations (like the now defunct PAC12) and now CBS is stuck with a crap product for the most part. It's like the Cinderella song "Don't know what you got til it's gone" (SEC).

I actually like the new setup with all the games and time slots and the newer version of the old espn music (very nostalgic). And I won't miss no SEC games on for the first 2-3 weeks b/c cbs prioritzed tennis.

The consensus seems to be that Danielson's constant fellating of Bama and Georgia is sorely missed.

(Pardon the crudeness, but no other word seemed as appropriate).

$50M for the 3rd pick of the field each week.

Someone at CBS needs to lose their job over their gross incompetence.
