This rule is addressing the practice of forcing tired players to stay in the game.
shouldnt bert be proposing unlimited timeouts, then? What if a player doesnt recognize he is tired in the 10 seconds after the ball is dead?

I'm sure you would choke his dick if given the chance at a winning season again.

Actually, it would be much easier to avoid playing football than any of those other everyday activities you listed.
Getting a football scholarship is the only chance to get out of the ghetto for a lot of players. I would rather they play sports than join a gang or sell drugs, but then again I care about society as a whole and not just my team. frick me right?

You would rather a kid risk death for your entertainment, than stay in the hood and possibly live?

Running on a football field surrounded by physical trainers and support staff is safer than running in the ghetto.

if Bielema actually gave two shits about his players with sickle cell he wouldn't even give them the opportunity to decide when they need to come in and out.
He should restrict the amount of plays they can be in during the game if he is as worried as he claims.
Let them play one series, then miss the next.
Of course that isnt an option b/c this player safety thing is a lie.

So you just claimed "a lot" of D1 african-american athletes have two options in their life: play sports or join gang/sell drugs.
Nice blanket statement to throw on an entire race of people. Nothing like a good bit of racism to start the day.

As long as they are running slowly and have lots of breaks.

Holy frick this is retarded. If a coach plays fast then he will not want a rule change. If a coach plays slower, he will be for the rule change. Each fan base will support their coach. If Auburn had Saban they would be lobbying for this rule change and defending it as hard as they are right now to not have it. If Arkansas had Gus, Dykes or whoever else they would lobby against this rule.
frick y'all are like 16 year old kids.

Are you? Or do you want to pretend that a kid living on welfare going to public school has a lot of options in life?

There are a bunch of Bama posters who have come out and said they are against this rule change, and they are ashamed that their coach is the one who is leading the charge.
Just my two cents

What I said is a very common shared belief. A lot of players wouldn't be in college without sports. There's nothing racist about that, it's the nature of the situation.
