Duron Carter did everything at Bama. He basically reinvented the position.

AJ Green is the most talented, but Hines Ward has a couple Super Bowl rings and Super Bowl MVP.

Big fan of his when he played at Buffalo. He never got the credit he deserved, he put up great stats with poor QB’s. In any other offense during his prime, we’re talking about an eventual HOF. I truly believe that

Historically Don Hutson.

He was the first star split end in NFL history. He is considered by many to have been the first modern receiver.

1. College - He was a consensus All-American in 1934. He was on Bama's 1934 NC team that beat Stanford in the Rose Bowl.

. College Football Hall of Fame inductee (1951)

2. NFL - He signed with the Green Bay Packers after college. In Hutson's first game, on his first-ever play, Hutson caught an 83-yard touchdown pass. It was the first of 99 receiving touchdowns, an NFL record that would stand for 44 years after his retirement.

. Career highlights and awards
. 8× First-Team All-Pro (1938, 1939, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945)
. 4× Pro Bowl selection (1939-1942)
. 3× NFL Champion (1936, 1939, 1944)
. Rated #9 NFL player of all-time by NFL.com
. NFL 50th Anniversary All-Time Team
. NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team
. NFL 1930s All-Decade Team
. 2× NFL MVP (1941, 1942)
. NFL record most seasons leading the league in touchdowns (9)
. Green Bay Packers all-time leading Touchdown receptions leader with 99
. Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame
. Green Bay Packers #14 retired
. Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee (1963)

His number 14, was the first number retired by the Packers. He is in the Wisconsin HOF, the Alabama HOF, the Arkansas HOF, the Green Bay Packers HOF, and the Rose Bowl HOF.

My wife's grandfather played on the Tide's team that won the Rose Bowl with Don Hutson and Paul Bryant. Nice post.

. Best NFL Career: Technically, Dante Hall...but he was a running back in college.

That's interesting that the best pro WR's from both Arkansas and A&M were both RB's at their respective schools.
