If these are really all the unis that’s a shame.

Arkansas cream and Ole Miss Powder blue are top 5 Unis in college baseball.

Well given the context of the argument and what was being asked for as proof, yes. There is historical evidence that "Texas Aggies" isn't something new and has nothing to do with the University of Texas.

You have a cute little schtick going. Try not to jump the shark, kiddo.

Thanks and Gig'em.

Ours besides the cream are soo bad. I don't get it.

Just use cursive script, pinstripes and be done with it.

The terrible mid 2000s bar logo needs to die, along with the piss poor late 2000s update they gave it.

It's really baffling for a program of our stature.

Then again, who gives a frick, just win the damn thing.

OU uniforms in 1951 (won CWS).

And here’s what head coach did back then (he’s on left in picture):

Jack Baer

Born: October 29, 1914 (Shawnee)

Died: March 9, 2002

Baseball at OU: Played center field, then became the school’s fourth head coach; went 281-250 in 25 seasons and won the 1951 NCAA championship

Football at OU: All-Big Six quarterback in 1937; in 1935 kicked what was then a school-record 47-yard field goal; managed the team's equipment for more than 30 years and also coached kickers

Slapping the Nike Word-mark version of your name on a uni is the worst.

At least you have the cream unis. Missouri has nothing interesting.

Make a red, grey, black, white whatever version and use the A.

Anything better than our current red white and greys.

Earliest reference I could find is a gameday program from an A&M at Texas game in the early 20s. Published by Texas it lists A&M as "Texas Aggies" and Texas as "Texas University" on the cover.

I referenced gameday programs from your quote.. you'll never find a "Texas U. or Texas University" program cover outside of the syndicated programs vs University published. The tell tale is the generic art work themes.

The odd college name presentation on the covers ties in with the AP & telegraph wire abbreviations & were common in headers & boxscores.

"Texas Aggies"? No idea & no concern to me, but I have seen it in print from collecting both vintage newspapers and programs from the 40's to 70's including one you linked.

Texas Aggies was what we were commonly referred to as up until a horrendous rebranding effort in the late 1990's and early 2000's.

Our branding dept. Introduced a dozen new logos that all sucked, and started emphasizing the "Texas A&M" on everything over the traditional "Texas Aggies". Even took the "Texas" and "Aggies" out of our end zones that had been there forever. Rat bastards.

It was an abysmal failure, that left our athletic department wandering in a wilderness of identity crisis, competing obscure logos, non-standardized shades of Maroon that were often more crimson or purple than actual maroon, and some horrid suggested mascot replacements.

Going back to "Texas Aggies" and dropping all the other shite is our branding dept. Acknowledging they fricked up big time, and trying to get us back to our roots. Thank God.
