Don't they ALL demand obscene 'cover-charges' on the square ?

Auburn’s bar scene is sad but Skybar is massive and offers easy bitches.

Strong drink is the devil’s cool aid.

#5) Lexington
#6) Oxford
#7) Fayetteville
#8) Knoxville
#9) Little Rock
#10) Auburn

For Athens I’d go Allgood and Magnolias as 1a/1b. Then there are so many options from there that basically depend on how old you are. If you’re trying to get wrecked you can hit up 100 proof and Buddha for slushees and Buddha bombs. Blue Sky and Walkers are always chill. Bar South, Cutters and Boars Head are all great too.

Athens can't be beat IMO.

I was actually never a big fan of the Supper Club. My fondest memories of it are of the bus honking its horn.

What A&M has going for it is that location in relation to campus (right across the street) and the volume (25-30 bars) along a stretch of less the 1/4 mi.
I went to a couple in Florida 2 years ago. They were fine. Nothing to complain about, nothing overly exciting. College bars are college bars.

Do you mean the Wednesday before Thanksgiving?

I’ll be the first to say the LSU bar scene sucks big time. Tiger land is dirty, ran down and located entirely too close to the ghetto. Kids get jumped and robbed all the time.

Do all the bars still shut down at midnight?
They pushed it back an hour Thur-Sat. But the Cotton District is in the heart of student housing, so most people leave the bars before then and migrate to house parties.

About Dickson Street... I’m single, 31 years old and in August I’ll be out here starting a new career and job. I’m living a couple blocks north of Dickson, less than a 10 minute walk to George’s, actually.
From my limited experience, I’ve met people from all ages and places on Dickson, even Dallas/KC/Little Rock visiting. How’s your experience? I don’t mind hanging with college kids here and there, hell sometimes I like to think I’m still in college, but would you say Dickson is more than just a college hangout?
