Auburn- Cadillac Williams
I don’t know about that. Tre Mason played on an average team in 2011 (freshman year) and didn’t play at all in 2012 but somehow managed 1000+ yards. Then in 213 he had 1800+ yards and 23 TDs. That’s better than anything Cadillac had. Keep him one more year in that system and Mason likely surpasses Cadillac in total yards. Plus he was already beating him in ypc.

The game has changed so much in the past 15 seasons that I don’t think YPC is really a stat that can be compared between eras.

You do know Faulk had better stats right??? It's no competition who was more versatile...as a running back. Faulk> fournette

Ok. Pick your criteria. As of right now according to the OP all we have is “best running backs...”

Is Faulk the guy who got his arse kicked last year by some teenager?

I think Zac Stacy myself
Such a weird one. Webb was sooo good for 3 years, but he seemed to take a major step back his senior year. It was like he was trying to hit too many home runs instead of sticking with the decisive one-cut style that he had been soooo successful with. Although, I think the real answer is Ke'Shawn Vaughn. He's only had one year, but neither Webb or Stacy were nearly as explosive as Vaughn. Ke'Shawn changes games with one play.

I believe Faulk still holds the SEC record for total yards...
