The thing that struck me the most in the first years of SEC play is that Sherman had recruited and developed some of the best linemen we'd ever had, but we were still undersized in the league. He left the talent with Sumlin and we went wide open with JFF and Co.
By the end of that first season, no one wanted any part of A&M. We thrashed OU in the Cotton Bowl.
It would take three more years for the Big Cigars to understand what it means to build an SEC team.
The good news for Ags is that sips and Joe Mixon University are slow learners.

OU actually has surprisingly started to make strides on defense as far as talent and coaching. I can see them getting it figured out much sooner. The sips have been embarrassingly owned in recruiting along the lines. Herman did them no favors and its going to take years to cycle out all the JAGs. Perfect timing for a move to the SEC dipshits.

As an Aggie, it was a little bit of a shock to find out tu and blowU wanted in the SEC. It was kinda like going through a real nasty divorce 10 years ago then discovering that your ex is going to move in next door. It has nothing to do with being afraid of them, you just don't like being around them and having to put up with their shite. The rest of the SEC will learn soon enough what a bunch of arrogant a--holes they are. Beating the crap out of them over the foreseeable future is going to be a blast.

What have the Longhorn posters done that is so wrong? I keep seeing this over and over and yet no one posts any proof to back it up. The Texas posters have for the most part been civilized and well behaved.

Honestly, nah. Herman didn't get fired for his performance on the football field. He was like 90% of the way towards actually achieving sustainable success. I imagine he'll regroup and be a decent coach if he didn't learn from his mistakes and a great one if he did.
Mack didn't leave us in the worst shape either honestly. Strong was the guy that left us a dumpster and said he "baked the cake" for Herman. Like cmon man, you don't get to be the worst coach in Texas (state not school) history and say that. Mack's remnants were still going to the NFL. Charlie didn't leave a lot of those guys.
