I have a BSCJ from OU. Start working on my Master's in August. I am a Microsoft MCP (270,290,291), COMPTIA Security +, CCNA, and studying for my CISSP. Still got 2 and a half years of active duty (Go Navy). I have about maybe $2,000 invested while the gub'ment has paid the rest

As an Auburn fan that grew up in Northeast Alabama this whole thread is cracking me up. None of us are in the same league as the Ivy's. I am glad we live in Indiana and my 2 kids can get over this hatred for either school. Both of my teens are Auburn fans but since we lived in Florida before moving here the past 4 years both want to go to Gainesville.

In conclusion, since you're slow, the data is even more accurate than I "made up" and Auburn didn't place on the list.
Not that I have a dog in this little pissing match you're having.... but the OP clearly states
quote:

It looked at starting salaries for the classes of 2011, 2012 and 2013 and averaged those numbers for each school.
Now, if you'd like to show the data for 2012 & 2013, then please do. If you don't seem to have it, then you are using 1/3rd the data as required in the OP's study. And if you believe that is accurate, then don't even respond to this post.

They do...70K is a conservative number.
This is very misleading. The average starting pay for a RN in the south is 22-25 an hour or about 44k-50k. Now yes if you add in diff pay for working nights/weekends and overtime, it can climb up there. But one shouldnt count that when comparing straight salaries

Cool. I have never been through there. My wife and I have been here 14 years. We're actually in Fishers, but work in Indy.

I've been to Brown County a couple times. Very pretty - reminded me of the part of Alabama where my mother was born.

I'll take the Amish over your typical Hoosier from Southern Indiana any day of the week!

As far as UA engineers not leaving the state, I know one right in the backyard of the aggies. My brother graduated in mech engineering, went to work for Exxon in Beaumont. Then spent two years in DC, now he is back in Houston in charge of a little over 100 employees. So yea, some do leave the state.

Maryland and Virginia Tech are both in the top 25 in engineering according to USnews.. they are not ranked in the list?

Florida also has a very strong engineering program but they are not ranked either?

This list doesn't seem legit.

Watch out. Puppet and NYC will be here shortly to tell you why that study is FOS because it has LSU and Alabama included in the top 20% (Top 300) with Auburn in ROI. Auburn is an entirely different league than the peons they have to associate with in the SEC. Just ask them. You and I along with the stupid Bammers are just too stupid to see what they see.

Did you get this from the ITAT or the ATPB?

Do you ever follow your own logic when it comes to posting here, BTW? you should

Why should shift diff not be counted if that is part of a persons daily work schedule? It would not be factored into the hourly rate.

I wish I could blame it on some nutty site or thread like ITAT or ATPB but I've heard these sentiments from seemingly intelligent Auburn people who should know better. Even the Auburn posters here who are as reasonable as any I've seen on the internet get caught up in the absurd idea that droves and droves of students who are getting rejected by Auburn are getting scholarship offers at Alabama. I don't know whether to admire it as a masterful troll job or marvel at the arrogance and delusion of those that believe that is actually the case.

Nobody said that the were rejects by AU. Most do not even attempt to apply to AU. Bama is offering more money then AU for equally or less decorated students. Bama has to have 2K more students per year admitted to school than AU, the well runs dry of quality students (especially in AL).

. And I can say the reverse as well. Yet you won't admit it. But please continue your own personal delusions. We all need someone to laugh at on here and you fit the mold quite often.

The majority of the growth has come from recruiting out of state students.

If Bama fans think the only scholarships are those on the the University website, they need to look at the following Scholarships:

Alumni Heritage
Alumni Scholars
D.E.Rogers Endowment
W.M & Clair Richardson
Charles and Alice Haun
College of Engineering
Dawson Family Foundation
Foundation Excellance

Those are just a few from a small area of Alabama. The money is out there and the "Baby Sitter" Counselors are the ones who find it.
