Once we get Medical school and hit 1 billion endowment and AAU membership... we will be as respected as University of Maryland and University of Pittsburgh... but will take time....

I would say, UGA used to be an AG school and still is to some extent but the admins are trying to move it towards a science and medicine focus. UGA got an engineering school 3 years ago and will be getting a full fledged medical school soon....
