Good news is the rumors are he is not going to transfer out this year, which would help with depth.

Josh Pate just reported on his YouTube podcast on the segment regarding transfers he’s a former 5 star to watch probably hitting the portal within the next few days. Fortunately for UGA, bc of the rules, Pate said if Vandagriff transfers to an SEC school, he has to sit out a year. I didn’t even know that was a rule. How is that a rule??

Here is the video Pate talks about it. Said Florida or Auburn probably wouldn’t be landing spots bc he has to sit out that year. Pate On Transfers

I was thinking the same about UGA now that little Stenson has gone into insurance sales.

Fun stat.

Assuming Carson Beck wins the UGA starting job... UGA will be replacing their QB with a guy who had a passer rating 25 points higher than the guy he's replacing.

He also put together 3 of his top 4 stat lines against ranked teams (Oregon, SC and TCU) rather than balling out against cupcakes like many backups do.

The 4th was Vandy... but still.

All reports are Vandagriff will be staying in Athens for 2023.

Wouldn't be shocked if he left after the season if he doesn't see the field, but it doesn't look like he's leaving right now.
