Ladd Memorial Stadium in Mobile held quite a few neutral site games as well

They had people standing where the football field would be

Which I'm sure was a ring in the middle with floor seats taking up the entire field. They did the same thing with WCW at the old Civic Center in my hometown. Take up the basketball court and throw in a bunch of rows of folding chairs to take up the floor.

They've renovated a lot since the last time Alabama was there in 05 or 06.
It's outside....it will be 100 degrees at kickoff....miserably hot, the amenities suck, and its in south Dallas...ghetto as frick.

what bristol really needs to do is a have a race before the football game on the same day. would be the best people watching experience of all time. i'm already going, but a nascar race would just put it over the top

Or a demolition derby with all of the RV's that people will be bringing in. Winner gets season tickets on the 50 yard line to UT games for the next 10 years.

Not SEC but Cotton Bowl is up there.

It's supposed to be the largest football crowd ever, Bristol can seat 160k for comparison the current largest crowd ever in CFB was 115k @ Michigan.
That was the largest crowd post WWII. There were estimated crowds between 120,000 and 123,000 that watched Notre Dame play USC in 1927 and Navy in 1928 (at Soldier Field).

The only one of those I haven't been to for a game is Everbank for the Cocktail Party, and based on what I've seen at the others, I would have to guess (and hope) it's the best. Worst is War Memorial in Little Rock, but the other two are/were pretty bad.
In case it matters because of renovations, additions, etc., my last visits to each were 1993 for Mississippi Veterans (LSU beat Ole Miss 25-22), 1998 for War Memorial (Arkie beat LSU 41-14) and 1982 for Legion Field (LSU beat Alabama 20-10).

Damn Solder Field used to be an absolutely amazing stadium until they decided to put a giant spaceship in the middle of it.

That's weird as frick.

Alabama and Auburn used to play games there (Ladd-Peebles in Mobile)
Looking at those Alabama games listed, they have a mistake on the list. Alabama lost to LSU 13-3 in Mobile in 1958, not Tulane. They also lost to Tulane that year, but it was in New Orleans and the score was 13-7, not 13-3.

Alabama and Auburn played some big games down there in the 1940s through the early 1960s.

LSU has played some games in Shreveport (presumably at Independence Stadium?), the most recent, other than Independence Bowl games, being vs. Rice in the 1970s, I think. LSU and Arkansas used to play there long years ago, too.
I guess this is the current configuration
