Why would we care how many students at Tulane are gay?

Do you think pure attendance should equate the best atmosphere?

It definitely helps. We also do not blow bubbles at our games.

If that’s the “key” for you then do you think all football game at State don’t compare to the 100k places.

Did I say it was key? I said it helps. We were also discussing baseball atmospheres. Congrats, you have a 100k+ football stadium. How many wins were seen there last year?

You brought it up and then you said it helps. It either matters a bunch or doesn't. If it doesn't, then why did you feel the need to pat MSU on he back for it?

This thread is so ridiculous. Most everyone is talking about stadiums and atmosphere, but the t sips and aggies are trying to out-gay each other.

Letting Texas into the sec was a HUGE mistake.

LSU should be so much better and it pisses off LSU fans when they're being honest.

The atmosphere at The Box is like Rupp Arena

Tennessee is garbage historically. Your baseball team was a massive choke last year. Your football team choked at the end of the year. Your basketball team always finds a way to lose when it matters.

Let me know when Tennessee has more CWS titles, Football national titles, Men’s final fours than Oklahoma
.

Dayum ... lol

Texas has literally won more national championships in the last 2 years than any other school in the country.

You keep saying this but you keep ducking what they are actually winning

Props to winning a Volleyball Natty but UK has one of those
Props for swimming, tennis, golf, and T&F, SEC is full of them

This is the SEC, these are the meat & potatoes
#1 college football = Utx last was 2005 (almost a generation ago)
#2 men's college basketball - Utx has NEVER won one
#3a women's college basketball Utx won in 86' (TAMU won in 2011)
#3b baseball - Utx last was 2005 (almost a generation ago)
#5a gymnastics - Utx has NEVER won one
#5b softball - Utx has NEVER won one

These sports provide the content for the SECN to thrive while the LHN was a joke and the BTN and PTN have failed. There is value in multi season content as opposed to a Fall only sport.

Look at OU
#1 college football = OU last was 2000 (and have been in the CFP)
#2 men's college basketball - OU has NEVER won one = Utx
#3a women's college basketball, OU has 0 but have been to FF in this century
#3b baseball - OU last was 1995 (both schools need newer CWS's)
#5a gymnastics - OU has FIVE from 2014 to 2022
#5b softball - OU has SIX from 2000 - 2022

Do you have dementia, that would explain a lot about your inability to speak directly with straight facts, not ones bent to suit your narrative.

So we agree: Texas is tied for No. 1 in the SEC with most national championships in baseball

LSU has 6 as a SEC member and all are recent
Utx has 6 in the SWC and B12 and some go back to Ike and LBJ

While they are similar, we will see if they are actually equal when Utx plays in the SEC not a secondary conference.

quote:

will be the No. 1 athletic department overall once they join considering they have the most hardware

That is where I will agree to disagree

#1 Hardware won outside the conference is not SEC hardware
#2 They will not be #1 in any major SEC sport when they enter

CFB = Alabama > Utx
MCBB = Kentucky > Utx (still don't have 1)
WCBB = Tennessee > Utx (probably be middle of the pack
GYM = Utx does not even have a NCAA team
Baseball = who knows, top to Bottom SEC is stacked (even Vanderbilt has 2)
Softball = pretty competitive but OU will probably dominate Utx

In the SEC OU can easily be your daddy and they will have other daddies so you will be even farther down the food chain. Will be fun to watch Utx eat crow for awhile and hopefully lose some of that attitude that makes them such a cancer to college sports.

Nothing says atmosphere like Ole Miss having their right field 30 yards away from the actual fence.. Real intimidating.

That really has been weird. However, OM is fixing that or has plans to fix that. They are going to build up the ground or pour concrete so the right field stands will be above and up to the outfield fence.

That will help atmosphere and intimidation.

However, beer showers will get them in trouble, because every one will get on the outfielder. I could see the beer showers actually getting banned pretty quickly unless they students figure out to throw them away from the field.
