I don't blame him. He was just having a reaction to all the ecstasy he took.

Most of my stories involve current athletes at OM and I probably shouldn't share them.

I saw an ex MSU cheerleader on the beach at Destin and recognized her, perhaps from her playboy centerfold, and funneled beers on the beach with her for a while.

Best: Several times I was walking to class or wherever and saw Emory Bellard, said "Howdy, Coach" and he stopped me to talk to me and seemed genuinely interested. I don't know how he did that, because he sure as hell wasn't singling me out. I loved that guy. I'm sure old fart State fans did, too.

Worst: N/A, really. But that may be because I'm a hopeless homer.

I was trying to put a microphone on John L. one time and he said 'What the hell are you doing, who are you with?'

I told him CBS Sports and he said 'What the hell is that?'

Then he said 'I'm just frickin with ya!' and he tickled my belly.

Deltaland has a pretty cool encounter with Quay Evans if I remember it correctly.

Best: Sat next to Antoine Caldwell in MacroEconomics for a semester. Really cool/laid back guy. We'd make small talk before and after class.

Also met Donta Hightower at Rounders on the strip. He was chillin on black and milds the whole time--my GF took a pic with him and what not. Real cool dude.

Worst: Almost got into a fight with Preston Dial at Rounders. We were both trying to get a drink from the Bar and he kept jockin my nuts I told him to give me some ball room and he stepped back and said "Boy youre barking up the wrong tree" Once I sized him up I quickly realized I didnt want to spend the night at the Intensive Care Unit at DCH.

Nick Saban lightly pushed/cornered me against his refrigerator once at 4 am when I was in HS.

I was friends with his son when he was still coaching at LSU and we went out and got drunk. I was clanking around his kitchen making a hot pocket at 4 AM when we got back and he said I woke up his wife and told me to go to bed.

Every other time I saw him at the house he wouldn't even say hi or acknowledge my presence. Terry was an extremely nice woman though.

Lots of people used to walk back to the freshmen dorms at Ole Miss from the bar. One time a buddy and me were doing that at 2 AM and it was raining. We had our thumbs out and we got a ride from a guy who was DD'ing for his friends. He was in a busted old red tahoe. His name was Patrick Willis and he sat next to my buddy in psychology and recognized him.

This thread sounds like group therapy for newcomers in a 30 day residential substance abuse treatment program.

First week of a Spring semester a couple years back. Got on the elevator to get to my class & had to hustle to catch it right before it closed. Once inside, I immediately notice I'm sandwiched between 2 very large tattooed individuals. All of a sudden I feel a hard fricking smack on the back of my neck. I whip around to see aaron hernandez laughing. There was a big bug on my neck and he slapped the shite out of it.

Sorry, that's actually kinda funny.

Worst: I'm at the Caterie seeing a band play about 4 years ago, and see a very large man lean back to take a swing at a smaller guy. I pull the smaller guy out of the way and find a very enraged, drunk Rahim Alem glaring at me. He was a total dick. Jordan Jefferson isn't very personable either.

Best: Played pool with Kirston Pittman and Trindon Holliday. Nice guys.

Best: Talked to Brother Bill Oliver for forty minutes during rain delay at baseball regional at Clemson (was meeting his son there and Bama was playing). Great conversation.

Worst: Spurrier (not really but you asked), he was leaving an Outback Steakhouse in Gainesville, we were waiting on benches to go in, saw my young sons' eyes get big, ducked his head and walked out. Say hey dude.
