Everything suggests Lawson is the more talented/developed of the two at this point in his career, but Groves was playing in a D with a lot of playmakers in 2004. Carl doesn't have anyone else (it appears) to disrupt plays, command double teams, or collapse the pocket.

I still think Lawson gets over 4.25. Maybe around 6 sacks this season, but doesn't break the 7.5 mark.

Apparently Holland has a class on Wednesday. Doesn't he have a class on Friday? So he misses all the MWF practices?

Processed by academic adviser?

Damn gimmick offense.

Or...Malzahn is determined to find a QB...any QB

Interesting. Finally no Holland!
Thought I would hear more about Holsey this spring. He was one of the better freshmen last season.
Fisher is a little of a surprise. What he lacks in athletic ability he may make up for in understanding defense. He has the family history

Meh, laziness happens everywhere and would happen whether there scholly is on the line or not. IMO

I think that is the point. If they get lazy you pull the scholly and give it to someone else.
If you give out a 4-year scholly you are stuck with the lazy players

Why is our d-line shedding pounds? Some I understand, but I don't get Nero and Ford dropping weight.
Is Nero still projected inside or is the new staff wanting him on the edge?

either way UGA will probably lose him

He is a top ranked Georgia HS player...so probably

I think the horrible attitude is what helped make Eric Smith so effective at times.

I'm not sure about more versatile or effective than Smith, but it is safe to say Prosch is smarter.

No shite?
Am I the only one who doesn't think 4 pounds is news worthy?
I think it is pretty clear Thomas is our top target, Fournette is a pipe dream, and we would probably be happy taking any of the others

Watson would be the best fit for our offense, but I think any of the QBs listed would be potential starters. Clearly, some are higher priorities than others.

I remember well the reports of Frazier's awesomeness from Spring to August last year.

To be fair, if he was throwing against our defense he probably did look good. They made every QB we faced look like a Heisman contender.
