Many encounters with athletes, both college and professional and I can't remember one bad experience.
Plenty of good times partying and playing ball with athletes but listening and talking to Stallings was my favorite experience. Always had a positive attitude and great perspective on life and sports.
Have never met Saban, but would love to talk x's and o's with him for a few hours.

I have buddy from Texarkana who bought weed from Ryan Mallet back in his high school dealing days.
Encountered Mallet at a random party in SW Arkansas a few summers ago. Really classy guy.

Worst: Ed Orgeron. The man is just a straight up a-hole. He fussed at me for being in the IPF one afternoon. I was there to deliver a package via the Public Relations office.
really was. Had a female friend who worked in the IPF. She was literally banned from leaving her office minus using the bathroom because "she was too pretty and he didn't want her distracting the ooaches".

I saw John Brady here in Jackson. This was actually after he got fired from LSU.
I kinda heckled him, and he told me to get the frick outta here and frick off.
What a scumbag.
I have no idea why he was being a Thug POS.

Pretty much the same. Old media guys were really fun but not so much for the younger guys. Twitter, Facebook, texting, and the like are killing off the true storytellers that made reporting great.

Played beer pong with a shirtless Stephen Garcia in 25 degree weather. No shame in that guy.

Tom Rathmann and Todd McLure both sat behind me in Freshman Chemistry in 1996.
They were looking to do anything to cheat/get ahead. It was comical.
Herb Tyler once read the Advocate for the full duration of one of Harry Mokeba's final exams.

Best: smoked a J in Oxford with Patrick Willis.
Got invited to a MSU baseball camp. Didn't take it seriously recruiting wise so i had a beard and long hair. Ron Polk actually liked it and called me Shaggy and always hung out and talked to me when we were warming up, stretching etc
Worst: Ran into Croom in a gas station and he tried to have a conversation with me.

Best: When I was in college working at a sporting goods store in South Arkansas former Hog bballer Nicky Davis comes walking in the store. Hung out, signed autographs and just visited with us for like an hour. Very cool guy.
Worst: Got snubbed by HoustonDale at a coaches clinic one year when I reached out to shake his hand. I actually liked him until that day. Needless to say, I didn't cry when he left the U of A.

I met Deuce McAllister in 2010 at an event. Really nice guy. He took pictures and signed autographs for anybody who wanted them.
We also camped across from a couple of former LSU football players at Talladega one year. Good people.

Best: getting drunk with Romaro
Worst: I saw Eric Dampier at the mall when I was eleven. He signed some chicks poster and when I wanted an autograph he said he didn't give them out and waved me off.
