My eligibility ran out in 1999, so I couldn't show up and play.
Probably 99% of the students with eligibility went home for the winter break, so....there was really nothing to draw on there.

Like what difference does your opinion make to anyone but you??

Yep
It started with Simone Biles. She's a frikin' head case and a quitter but instead of the media having to report that accurately, they chose to label her as "brave for realizing she has issues".
It's cowardice.

A 6-6 team trotted out a bunch of walk ons to take an ugly L in a meaningless game so they could pocket $7 million.

Congrats on successfully getting an entire conference to loathe your school more than any other in conference history.
I never would have guessed aggy to be a great uniter, but you sure coalesced the entire fricking SEC against you. And just think how y’all bitched that the SEC left your asses out of the discussions to add OU and Texas to the conference — y’all just thought you were red headed step children then…
Coward Station, TX — home of the yellow bellied sissies.

And yet ... they still out-performed A&M.

You know that money is shared with teams in the conference, right?

It is a weird take for a school that considers itself a military school to celebrate surrendering.
Are we sure Texas A&M isn't French?

I respect you more than just about any LSU poster.
But as a woman of faith/honesty, trust me when I say: We couldn’t care less what others think of us.
Most of us chose to attend Texas A&M University, based on its culture and family.
I get the rationale behind trying to shame us into feeling like fools.
We’re a very esoteric group.
But it’s a wasted attempt, as most of us hold [multiple] degrees from A&M and wouldn’t give em up for anything.

We don’t.

The current Texas Bowl score is exactly why we didn't play and why every rant tard cried when we pulled out. They wanted A&M to lose just like LSU has because they want to detail our momentum.
There was NO WAY we would have won with only 13 players on defense. Anyone who wanted us to go to a 99.9% sure loss is a moron.

You and Tbird (not sure where he’s been) are the best posters A&M has provided this board by far.
I get that y’all don’t care about what other schools think of you, and that’s all fine and dandy, but when it’s over something like this, I’m not sure I’d thump my chest over it.
There’s no equivalency to be drawn between loving the way your school marches to the beat of its own drum and the awful decision your school made to back out of its bowl game.
If were an A&M alumnus, I’d make my voice heard, no matter how small it may be to the decision makers.

Mr. Jack Daniel,
I am afraid that you are correct. It feels like that is true in our current society.
Personally, I believe that it is much better to handle this situation the way LSU did. In my opinion, not playing in the Gator Bowl was a very bad decision by the powers that be in College Station.
It seems to me that this dang Covid malaise that we have been in has given opportunity to a lot of people/organizations to take the easy way out in a lot of situations. It is sad commentary on the state that we are in as a country.
I choose to believe that the powers that be in Baton Rouge, chose to play the game because it was the right thing to do, and I really wish that they had won. Unfortunately, the administrators in College Station will see the outcome of the Texas Bowl as something of a vindication of their choice, and I really don’t like that!!
It is akin to my thinking that Arkansas did the right thing years ago when they fired Petrino. I wish things had turned out differently, and that the program didn’t suffer so much when they made the right choice.

Bowl money and TV cash are included in conference revenue sharing... you are welcome.
That team knew what their situation was. I was just proud they showed up and put out a good honest effort to do their best and win if they could.
Bear in mind too that besides the players LSU only had 2 regular coaches on the sideline. The rest were upgraded analysts and GAs...

Well, this is bullshite. If it were true, you wouldn’t waste the effort to rehab the image, which you are clearly doing here. What I think most of us want is for A&M fan to just own it. I can guarantee you, if Auburn did that, I would be leading the parade calling them cowards.
