There’s like a bazillion 3 & low 4* kids filling out Big 12 rosters who didn’t get recruited hard by Texas. Kids from South Carolina won’t take it so personally.

Alabama's first string needed a miracle to beat Texas last season so I'm not too sure about this one.

Got a love it when Texas fans have to fricking go for that moral victory. shite just shows what a loser program they’ve turned into.
So let me get this straight.
You equate my disagreement about what how badly Texas lost to celebrating a loss for a moral victory?
My god, your education system is worse than I thought.

Texas is a blue blood. Albeit one of two (including Nebraska) that hasn’t held up that status much recently. Fortunately for us there are reasons to think we can be back on track soon and obviously fare well in this new NIL landscape, etc. Nebraska needs to be far more worried.
Blue Bloods -
Alabama
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Michigan
Texas
Oklahoma
USC
Nebraska
You’ll see these 8 pretty much always given the title and ranked in the top 8 spots of all time programs. It’s not because Texas feels that way, it is because it is widely recognized that way.

Hahahaha, thanks, I needed the laugh.
Bama is the only one you mentioned who is worth a crap these days, now you can add Georgia.
Blue bloods my arse, we even beat the crap out of your supposed blue blood arse a couple of years ago.
The past is long gone and only one of your blue bloods have peed a drop recently.
texas is a long gone also ran now since the SWC collapse. Stop embarrassing yourself.

This thread just tells me most people have no idea what blueblood really means.
The term "blueblood" doesn't mean "is currently great."
Blueblood status was minted in the latter half of the 20th century. Notre Dame is unquestionably a blue blood and hasn't been good in a generation.

Uhh no. Bluebloods should be considered with recent history, not over 50 years ago, maybe 30 (1992 cutoff). Out of your list:
Bama: 7 Championships last 30 years. Absolutely.
Notre Dame: No championship last 30 years. No.
Ohio State: 2 Championships last 30 years. Maybe.
Michigan: No Championship last 30 years. No.
Texas: 1 Championship last 30 years. No.
Oklahoma: 1 Championship last 30 years. No.
USC: 1 championship last 30 years. No.
Nebraska: 2 Championships last 30 years. Maybe.
I would add LSU and Florida to this list.
LSU: 3 Championships last 30 years.
Florida: 3 Championships last 30 years.
If we use 3 Championships as a cut off last 30 years, the only bluebloods left are:
LSU
Florida
Bama
Runnerup with 2
Ohio State
Nebraska

You might as well go back to 1970 and integration as the start of modern football history. It bumps TX up to two but that is hardly "blue blood" status. Four overall doesn't add much to the resume either. No one cares how many times they've beaten Rice.

New offensive coordinator. Keep letting Bama and Saban lull you to sleep. Rat poison!

The term “blue blood” means a person of noble birth. It is an idiomatic expression that originated in Spain, referring to the paleness of aristocrats who had never married into Moorish or Jewish families.
In medieval Europe the nobility did not work for a living, and so remained untanned by the sun and wind of the fields. Their veins showed blue through their translucent pale skin. The Spanish royal family was described with the phrase sangre azul, directly translated as "blue blood." They described themselves thus to show that their lineage was not intermingled with the Moors, who had a stronghold on the country at the time.

Are you coming to the game in Tuscaloosa? How many tickets is UAT allotting Texas for this game?

So don't come here beating your chest if you beat them. You've only played Bama once when they were truly elite and you lost that game
You're catching Saban at the end of his career

Bama may be slipping but they are still miles ahead of Texas. Maybe Texas should actually do something before they start pounding their chests.
