You should listen to the barner, HRV. They're obsessed with Bear. They would know.

Bryant was a known job hopper kind of like Saban until he got to bama. We needed someone for the long haul not some hick from "FO-dice" with one foot out the door looking for the next best thing. That and half the population knew he was lying about the bear story and it would have been an embarrassment to the University over something as trivial as college athletics in the 50s

What Frank did for our athletic program as coach and AD wouldn’t be touched by many if any other one in his position. He wasn’t just a coach but he had vision of what our university athletics could be and he did a hell of a job.

No telling where this program would be had he not come along, but I have a pretty good idea and it ain’t good.

I can’t figure out why some Arkansas fans want to low rate him.

Broyles retired way too early at the age of 52. Bryant retired at age 69. That is a 17 season difference.

It isn't that Bryant would do better in the same time frame but he would do better based on his length of time if he retired at the same age as he was at Bama.

If Broyles didn't retire at an early age in my opinion he would do better than Holtz who was more focused on getting to Notre Dame and Hatfield who had problems with Broyles himself.

Well, he was head coach and AD so I guess he needed to focus on one thing so I’m glad he did. He and Darryl Royal retired at the same time, they were good friends.

Because he’s not from there and the retards in the state hold that against every outsider. It’s so weird, I loved Arkansas but I still remember when I moved there and everyone knows you’re not from there. They eventually accept you but it’s a weird deal. Never had that in any other state I’ve lived in

Broyles is well accepted and pretty much adopted as a legend in Arkansas.

That cannot be said for Bryant who is from Arkansas but is an outsider.

Weird how that turned out.

Well there’s also the part if you don’t chose the razorbacks and you’re from there and leave, you’re dead to everyone. Guess I forgot about that part.
