So y’all will compete in the SEC with the lowest paid coach and staff?

And he is so excited to get started at SC that he is going to finish out the season as OUs TE coach. Geez.

Yes, he is so excited, as I stated earlier, he is sticking around at OU instead of getting to work at SC.

You can't meet recruits in person, the entire team is off on winter break. There's literally nothing he needs to do that can't be done over the phone or zoom call. Calm your tits Francis

Pay the coach less, pay the staff more. Napier made it known he didn't want to be calling his own plays either. If you're leaning that heavily on coordinators for your success, why not go with the guy who had more ties to more guys and will free up the cash to go get them?

I mean smart move on SC, they want him to prove his worth. Win/ win big games, get bigger contracts and bonuses
Posted on 12/7/20 at 7:17 pm to CarolinaGamecock99
Is it 2.76 per year or are you really getting cheap?
Posted on 12/7/20 at 7:18 pm to CarolinaGamecock99
Is that 2.75 for 5 years or 2.75 each year for 5 years?
Posted on 12/7/20 at 7:21 pm to kywildcatfanone
It's per. Lol God could you imagine

If there is no buyout clause, I wish that would start a trend.

Napier calls the plays now. So I don’t think that’s a problem. It’s ok, USCe went cheap. It may work out, but when has the lowest paid coach in the SEC won anything to speak of?
Posted on 12/7/20 at 7:31 pm to chew4219
If he didn't call the plays now, not much sense in me bringing it up is there?
Posted on 12/7/20 at 7:33 pm to GameCocky88
Coaches are hugely overpaid, so I think this makes sense. It's ridiculous what they get paid and the bonuses and all.

Hope Beamer turns out to be a good coach for the Gamecocks. Sounds a lot like the Pittman hire.

Thanks Porky. I don’t remember y’all crying this badly over a decent hire.

You know who had a contract just like this when they were first hired? Hugh freeze. Paying someone a ton of money does not make them a better coach. Let him prove it and if he does pay him.
