Good news for Aubie?
Oklahoma and Baylor play each other.
Stanford and Oregon play each other.
Miami and FSU play each other.
On top of that, Aubie plays Bama.

Computers have us essentially tied for 6th with Miami BTW (we are 0.01 behind Miami, so pretty much tied).

What's really the worst is where UCF/Louisville stand. Louisville ranked higher than UCF in both polls despite having a .000 average in the computers and UCF BEATING THEM.
I guess a 3 point loss to South Carolina hurts UCF more than Louisville losing to UCF. Despite UCF having actually beaten a ranked team (#8 Louisville), a B1G perennial power in Penn State on the road, and only losing by three to a highly ranked SEC team.
Louisville's best win is Kentucky or Rutgers, both of which were tight games.
Seriously frick the BCS, especially if UCF ends up behind fricking Louisville at the end of the year. The people who make the polls just seemed to forget that UCF and Louisville played.

One computer has Auburn ranked #18. What the hell? RB computer ranking. Roll bama?

I've thought AU and Mizzou are really comparable teams this year. Hope they both win out and meet in Atlanta.

BCS Countdown Discussion Thread - 6 SEC Teams in Top 14
One computer has Auburn ranked #18
And another one has Northern Illinois ranked 5. That's right...5. Their FBS opponents' records are 5-3, 1-7, 1-6, 2-7, 2-7, 3-5, and 1-7. Seven opponents averaging 2 wins each. That's the #5 team in the country. Better than Ohio State, Stanford, Baylor, Miami.
Getting the computers out of the picture can't happen soon enough.

Ha. Found the problem with the Billingsley computer. Motherfricker is an idiot. Check this out:
quote:
Let’s continue the learning process with the Billingsley Report, run by Richard Billingsley out of the College Football Research Center.
Unlike Anderson and Hester, Billingsley finds real value in using preseason rankings as a jump-off point for his yearly computer rankings.
Using the previous season’s final rankings, Billingsley simply assigns teams a point value for his preseason ranking. The previous season’s final No. 1 receives 270 points, No. 2 receives 269, No. 3 receives 268 and so on until No. 120 receives 151 points.

That fricker has Auburn behind ND, Louisville, and UCF. (among others....LSU, and USCe) He also has FSU at #5 behind Stanford. What a bunch of bullshite.
Thanks alahunter for that info!

We don't have a Teddy Bridgewater for ESPN to suck up to. I'm just happy to be where we are right now, and to have ended any ridiculous talk about Louisville in the MNC-game.
