In theory, we might get a better look at how the committee makes decisions because of these differences..

I mean when one team can start 19-2 in conference play then faceplant dropping 5 of the next 6 conference games it's a bit more difficult than football

It appears LSU is getting the benifit of doubt based on history. Arkansas is better statistically and Texas has had the better season.

D1 is such a joke. One of their main dudes has a perpetual hate boner for UGA

LSU is their projected #7 national seed so ranking means very little. Arkansas is #2.

It's about where the teams are right now.

LSU beat Arkansas. And won 4 out of its last 5 sec series.

They have the best 1-2 punch of pitchers in the country.

They can be number 1.

Missouri beat A&M who beat Arkansas who beat Texas who beat LSU.

By your logic mizzou should be #1.

Kendall has been increasingly in his feels ever since UGA passed on his friend Justin Haire at Campbell for Wes. Even moreso that he kept floating Wes for the MSU job to the point that Wes had to say something publicly about it.

2 years later, Wes is 85-31 and about to host for the second straight year in Athens while Haire is 11-30 at Ohio state.

He won’t cop to it but for all the good the D1 staff does (and they do a lot of good elevating the sport) they hve a tendency to reflect in their rankings a desire to see certain teams succeed and a downgrading of others based on vibes

I've updated for PG, Q1 Wins (ranking) and X (ranking).

X = Rankings of 1-32 using

(Q1 Wins + Q2 Wins) / (Q1W + Q2W + All Losses)

SEC champs (by 2 games)
12-2 in weekend series

A case can be made Texas is getting th shaft in some of these pathetic rankings. Do I think we are set up to win it all without Spencer? No. But rankings should be about what teams have achieved.

There is a lot of recency bias built into the rankings, which won't be used when deciding the seedings..

Texas should be #1 or #2 imo. Unfortunately, it is not likely that Texas finishes #1 or #2.

I think Vanderbilt is really too high in these things. I know what the RPI numbers may say, but I am not buying their hype.

No way.. the wait and build-up helps add to that excitement.. it's perfect the way that it is.. change one variable and the whole thing potentially changes..
